New Mitsubishi Strada [ARCHIVED]

BOSBs, I just came from SFM San Pablo for my 5k PMS. Syempre sa tulong ni sir drave (ganda rin ng project nya sa Everest), I looked for Mr. Celso Perez. Asikaso agad. According to MMPC directive, mandatory daw for 4M41 engine ng 3.2 Strada ang fully synthetic oil. Nagtataka ako bakit dun sa Citimotors, walang nabanggit, o baka di alam.
After my 1k PMS dun sa Citimotors using regular oil, umingay ang engine tapos nagkaroon ng lagitik. Di ko masyado sure kung humina ang hatak kasi mabilis pa rin naman mag-accelerate. Pero di ko nga masyado napansin yung dating boost ng turbo after 2000rpm.
Anyway, after my 5k PMS (fully synthetic), mas tahimik ang engine, wala na lagitik, at parang mas smooth and responsive ang engine.
Re: my lagutok sa steering, after some attempts at tightening the already tight bolts, wala pa rin nagbago. So they will replace my steering wheel column. So, its not true na sa mga first batch lang ang problem na to. I got my unit Nov 2007.
Eto pala breakdown ng gastos for the 5k PMS (including VAT):
Oil filter P2,040

less 10% discount P5,616 (puede na rin)

Boz, galing lang din ako SFM kanina naman.. sayang hindi tayo nagpangabot.. d ko lang naabutan si Mr. Celso nagdeliver daw.. I talked to Jun and sabi nga niya na may dumaan din from Los Banos Yesterday na nirefer din ni Doc Ave. With regards to the lagutok on my truck, iba ang findings nila. Very minimal daw yung akin unlike yours and doc ave's. He explanied na yung inyo everytime nalubak may "tok" sound and ramdam mo talaga sa steering. With mine kasi like I mentioned before sa simula lang (unang kabig) and its a "clunking" sound na parang magaspang yung feel, tapos nun wala na. We tried driving around the shop, nung una tumunog tapos kahit anong steer namin wala na ulit. We even parked the car and had one mechanic look below while we continue to steer pero wala naman daw makita na sumasabit and no sound din. Advice na lang niya to dedicate one day for them to disassemble para macheck since I had both my coil springs replaced before with the uneven height issue. Ayusin ko na lang schedule ko.

i have tried riding and driving my tito's revo parang normal AUV lang siya na matagtag nga..yung strada sir, para kang nag ddrive ng kotse na mataas, very smooth ang ride and malakas ang hatak niya pero very smooth and relax sa luob..every time ko dnadrive yung strada na papangiti ako

Am interested in getting the black glx. Was told before that this color is not readily available and that there is a waiting period of about 2 to 3 weeks. Hope I can get a good deal mamaya .

yes, we are looking forward to your truck. should you feel that you want a better deal, feel free to consult with any of us and they can perhaps refer you to another person who can give you a better deal. To my understanding, MMPC is implementing a One-Price-Policy nationwide. Nasa diskarte nalang ng salesman on how he can balance his commission with the discount. Here is a tip that i shared once before: try to inquire at the later part of the month. that is when SAs will be cramming for their quotas and they might do anything they can (ie. give freebies/discounts/etc) para maka quota sila.

i drove eslonblue's strada and it is an exhilirating experience. the powerful OOOOOOMPH the strada can give versus when i had to eke it out from my Space Wagon. The comfortable ride is similar to my Space Wagon that even has all wheel independent suspension! Consider that since the Strada is still using conventional Rear Leaf Springs!

*BOSBs with the Lagutok issue- now that i recall that i had a similar problem with my Lancer Box Type in the past. My dad replaced some bushing and it disappeared! This might lead to a similar solution as to what Doc Ooba99 has mentioned.

*msg- i have confession to make. My love affair with cars started since birth. once upon a time, when i was a kid (as told by my parents, of course), i considered a parking lot with a variety of cars in it as my one-and-only playground. Well, i can forget about the monkey bar, the slide and the see-saw! I would usually walk around and admire the shapes, sizes, bits and pieces that go along with it. When someone has a flat tire or any kind of car trouble, i observed everything with excitement! The VW Beetle and the Mitsubishi Lancer were the first apples of my eye and the list goes on that includes the Strada. To this day, the romance lives on.

Initially, ganyan din napansin ko. Siguro, wala pang 1000km nun. Minsan ramdam ko, tapos pag inulit ulit, di ko na mapalabas yung sound. Pero, napansin ko na naging mas madalas at mas malakas na sya as the months went by. Pero tama yun, pa-check mo pa rin. Under warranty naman eh.

Aside from inquiring near the end of the month, you should also inquire from several dealers, not just one, so that you can choose where the deal is sweeter.
