hi guys.. help!
may i join the club? i've read on the previous posts that an eb was done, sayang i didnt know.. by the way i have a 2.5 gls model.. bought it since
oct. 2007. mileage is at 16000+km. i use it everyday as my workhorse, it's rear left leafspring and front right coilspring just got replaced last november coz of loading too much concrete bags.. hehe.. good thing the warranty got it covered free of charge.
you are very welcome to join our club sir lanjohn82... in behalf of the band-of-strada-brothers, let me be the first to welcome you. just read all the pages in this thread to familiarize you with the people and our rides, join us in the next eb and comply with whatever the officers will come up for membership, then you'll be a bonifide member of "The Strada Club of the Philippines".
hope you enjoy and happy motoring!![]()
edit: bought it last october 26, 2006 not oct 2007. i've just installed claddings para tumaba tignan ang side mirror signal lamps.![]()
ang kulang na lang ng HONEY ko eh ang rooler up and tyre upgrades.. 265's or 275's maybe? ipon muna ko...hehehe.. had some hard time finding a roller up.. almost went to all accessory shops(camper, carry, miggy) wla tlga. i nearly got to buy one pero ang sabi ng distributor "may kokortehan lang sila sa dulo ng rollerup para bumagay sa strada." i declined the product though having known that our pickup bed is the most "unique" in its class.asking price was at 31k. ill wait for a proper roller up na lang. im from the marikina/cainta area by the way.
lanjohn82,
Man, you're probably one of the buyers of the first shipment of the strada in the R.P.. I bought mine in Nov. 2006 which is the second shipment already. There were many reservations even before the launching.
You've still got a great looking ride despite those concrete bags![]()
*lanjohn82- is that Lan or Ian...? hehehe... ian po ako... a warm welcome and nice to meet you bro... I would like to encourage you to PM our president- av8or5 with your email address and other contact details since he does have a Strada registry and to include you in our mailgroups. as for the roller up, check out Mehealator's truck since he raised eyebrows and jaws have dropped with roller type bed cover. yes, it is unique because of the shape... but knowing us pinoys who have the knack of finding solutions out of the box, i bilib we can still cook up something.
265 tires is good enough- this is actually the spec of the 07 strada GLS Sport. preferably - make it A/T or all terrain.
*DonT- kamusta na po?
bro thanks po... sorry i forgot to welcome you personally. feel free to ask any questions we will do what we can to answer. also, have fun doing a back read as much as you can.
In this organization, on which you are NOW a part of, is a result of the best of our collective effort as we aim for a cohesive whole! <naks!>![]()

BOSB, if there is one part of the Strada that I dont like, its the Steering Wheel.
Aesthetically, its an eye candy. But when I start holding it and of course use it, I could feel the cheap plastic in the horn, the slippery synthetic leatherette wrap, and lastly the steering wheel's uncomfortable size.
Whenever I use the horn, the hollow plastic sound is more audible rather than the horn's sound outside. When the need arises to maneuver in tight places, its hard to use one hand as the wrap is slippery despite my non-sweaty hands. If you will be using two hands, the area of the two silver things between the spokes greatly reduced the area where you could insert your hands for ease of turning the wheel.
I dont know if its just me or the steering wheel of the Strada is really uncomfortable to use making the Strada a bit tedious to drive when conditions require massive use of the steering wheel.
BOSB, let me know your thoughts on the foregoing.
Thanks.
P.S. Other than that, and the budget constraints of a new momo steering wheel, I dont see any other cons with my Strada.
*glycerine- glad to see the box seems to be a perfect fit! how did u clamp it to the bed? i saw in the pics that u had chains there... para saan po yan - i hope u dnt mind me asking...
