    OIC, anyway let's wait for other guys who did some ecu mods to their stradas. reading from different sources, the chip looks promising though. the 50-60k prices are a little bit higher though considering anyone can have a chip upgrade with a branded name for almost 35,000 pesos. well, that's the manufacturers price. importing the chip here will probably raise the price but not that what some stores are selling those chips. (i know, i am an importer also). the only problem for me is i don't know where to plug it.

    anyway, gudluck na lang sa mga rides nyo...we'll just keep on updating....

    bro, what are the good and bad effects of the ecu? what does it really do to our stradas?

    The front lowermost clip got dislocated resulting to the same result as yours. It has an easy solution. Buy a rubberized double adhesive tape by 3M, the one with colored grey adhesive and red plastic. Cut and shape it according to your need and sandwhich it between the body and the flare including the rubber insert (see to it that the tape won't be seen from outside). Be sure to clean everything first so that the tape wont go off. Push it hard enough and you're done. No more gaps.

    The BOSB who had the flares installed can also do this to make the flares stronger even without drilling holes in the body.

    *drave- i agree with you! when i drove my friend's strada GLS- it was good enough for me and very very perky to use in climbing the hills for Baguio- lalo pa when you are using the 3.2 GLS Sport.

    I fell in love with the stance of this strada... no need for the side graphics but otherwise good looking. it may be an ordinary carryboy canopy pero astig tignan! and now that we have the 17" mags! waw!

    i don't know what's the bad side sir, all that i read regarding those ecu upgrades were all hypes. some manufacturer states that it can increase the hp and torque that much. it's plug and play so there's nothing to worry about cutting wires and re-programming. so i want to get it a try. how about you sir?

    "I’ve bought a brand new L200 animal (165ps) and i've done 2000 miles, I then purchased a common rail tuning chip from 'Diesel tuner’ (http://www.dieseltuner.co.uk/)
    This should make it around 205ps...

    Its goes really well, loads of low down pulling power / torque.

    however once its been driving for about 15 - 20 minutes the engine shuts down when im in the higher rev ranges, it may be a coincidence but it seems to happen when I exit roundabouts hard on the throttle (and possibly loose traction a little), I have adjusted the chip down in power twice to rule out the possibility of over boost, it is still shutting down the engine into safe / limp mode with a max of 1500 rpm which don’t get you very far..."

    what could be the problem....?

    i presume that the sealing for this kind of canopy would be a connecting rubber fom the canopy to the cab. and based from the second picture of RedHorse, i see a sliding glass to open it- with the rear power window and air will come in- perhaps an initial full blast is best- then lower the blower speed once temp has been attained. or better yet, leave it at AUTO (GLS, GLS Sport).
    *RedHorse- nice pictures. favor po if ok with u, can u also include a full length pic of your ride so we can see the overall impact of the canopy from bumper-to-bumper. a million thanks to you, bro!

    *louchua- keep us posted bro. i believe the Dealer and MMPC should BOOMERANG the fender flare...

    the G500 fits best on the Strada best because of the curves present- from the truckbed cut towards the main body, window shape and the front/rear fascias. the navarra, being boxy deserves a more conventional style...

    *ghost recon, i wish i had hands-on experience with this. However, what i can give u is a theoretical answer.

    the tuning chip for the Animal with 4D56 (165hp) proves to be an upgrade from from the standard chip (136hp)- this has been recognized by the Colt Car Company, UK (Mitsu's distributor there). so upgrading to the Diesel Tuner (DT) chip (205hp) may lead to a tendency of an overworked engine because of the DT chip's programming may give more of what the engine needs aside from just the air/fuel mixture- but also sensors to monitor engine performance. the chip may send a different signal to the idling system, hence, the sudden shut down occurs. in other words, it may cause more damage than good. also, too much of something is not good... (sing: too much love will kill you... hah!)

    BOSBs, We should all learn to harness the Strada's newfound power! Gone are the days when it was always dwarfed by the Pajero. And I believe that we are all in the same mindset!

    Any strada owner who passed by greenhills around 3pm Sunday? Nakarinig kasi ako ng 2 honks habang nasa pila to the indoor parking lot at virra mall at about the same time a strada passed by me. Di ako sure kung galing nga sa strada yung honks and di ko na nakita yung plate number kasi matulin yung strada hehe.

    Kung meron man, hello back to you. Ako yung nasa cool silver strada with the canopy.

    Well..for me..whenever I honk..whether I see a strada or a swerving motorcycle..I honk always two times. . But definitely, I was not in greenhills this sunday.
