thanks for posting your pics, bro...

Aesthetically, its an eye candy. But when I start holding it and of course use it, I could feel the cheap plastic in the horn, the slippery synthetic leatherette wrap, and lastly the steering wheel's uncomfortable size.

Whenever I use the horn, the hollow plastic sound is more audible rather than the horn's sound outside. When the need arises to maneuver in tight places, its hard to use one hand as the wrap is slippery despite my non-sweaty hands. If you will be using two hands, the area of the two silver things between the spokes greatly reduced the area where you could insert your hands for ease of turning the wheel.

I dont know if its just me or the steering wheel of the Strada is really uncomfortable to use making the Strada a bit tedious to drive when conditions require massive use of the steering wheel.

BOSB, let me know your thoughts on the foregoing.
    Thanks.

P.S. Other than that, and the budget constraints of a new momo steering wheel, I dont see any other cons with my Strada.

I got mine custom made box for 12" sony subwoofer LOCATED BEHIND Back seat where the jack and tools located. the amp (JBL mono) is located under front passenger seat. It was driven by pioneer 7950ub w/ crossover to control the sound frequency. and I use infinity separates for sound quality.

    *moxxxs,

bro, as for the love-it-or-hate-it steering wheel. its on everyones discretion... a few days ago, i test drove a customer's GLS A/T (unfortunately he is not internet and forum savvy) and observed everything to be ok the steering wheel- yes, i do agree with you that the plastic makes a hollow sound-parang tabo na tinatama sa pader! another friend of mine uses a steering wheel attachment- a knob clamped on the steering wheel so u can steer with 1 hand- not my cup of tea, but it works for others.

as for a momo steering wheel, paano po yung airbag, sir? IMO, the Sold-Out current body Lancer GT has a momo steering wheel with airbag- perhaps you want something like that, isn't it?

Same feeling there. Dagdag na rin for me is the arm rests. Instead of sloping down, I would preferred it to be sloping upwards para maka reast talaga ang arms..Plus the finish of the plastic material..I think it will be full of scratches because of my watch.

Anyway, a Momo Steering Wheel is a good proposition..but what are we goind to do with the SRS?

Did you have to move the jack and tools somewhere else? where?

Whats the model of the 12" subwoofer? I'm concerned about the thickness of the sub. Pioneer has 'shallow-type' subwoofers which are around 98mm thick compared to 177mm for standard ones.

*DonT- knock on wood po... the SRS will still be there. that will serve as a spare steering wheel in case you had a frontal collision. As we all know, once the airbag has been used, we can't use it again.

however, if you feel that you don't need it, you can perhaps, offer it the dealer whose strada had a collision. bless them ...

Sa 3.2 model, the steering wheel has a genuine leather cover. Initially, it was slippery pero ngayon makapit na.

It also has a plasticky and cheap feel sa horn pero nasanay na ako.

My main issue sa steering wheel is mabigat sa kabigan. Probably because of the larger tires of the 3.2 variant.

    Good Evening Brother's!!!!

    BTW,

*sir lanjohn82: welcome po sa thread!!!

    * sir moxxxs: agree ako na parang "plastic sound is more audible rather than the horn's sound outside"... kapag may makukulit kasing tricycle samin busina ako ng busina parang mas malakas ung "tak tak tak" sound... balak ko nga palitan ung horn kaso cute ung stock na horn natin eh... naexperince ko din na dumudulas ung kamay ko sa steering wheel pero kung yung driver namin okay lang daw sa kanya....

Naisip ko tuloy, probably the stradas were made and designed for muscled men. Time to go back to the gym! :showoff:hehehe
