changed my rims to 16x8 ralliart webbed design rims with 265/70/16 Pirrelli Scorpion ATRs...Total cost 50K.... simple and cheap...pang offroad kasi truck ko.

mga bosbs...... kung ang HU ninyo is KENWOOD, you might have problems with the screen suddenly going blank but all the controls are still working fine... if this happens to you, contact your dealer and tell them to inform SMI(Super Manufacturing Incorp.) that you will be bringing your vehicle to them to have your radio fixed... i think sir moxxx brought his unit to his dealer and had to wait a week before they had it fixed. my screen went blank(again) yesterday, so i brought it to SMI, they fixed it in an hour!!!! The kenwood units have a three year or 100K km warranty, so basically the audio warranty lapses the same time your vehicle warranty lapses...

just make sure that your dealer informs SMI that you will be going there, otherwise hindi ka nila i-entertain

D pa rin bro.. pwede na sana kaya lang I recently decided to sell my HU, sold it last week soon to be replaced with the newer 2008 model. Brand bew pa naman so ok lang tubo pa rin ako. aantayin ko pa ulit dumating kasi order pa from states.

The Strada 2.5 GLX 4x2 A/T is a good idea... i had been thinking of asking the plant to make a variant like this actually- especially for someone who doesnt need the high powered 3.2 4x4 mechanism. This type of engine and tranny combo is already available in other markets especially Thailand.

As for the FC, lets wait for what Fellow BOSBs Doc ooba99 and eslonblue has to say about this...

I know how you feel about the manual tranny. BUT the flipside to this is that releasing the clutch for the truck to move is almost effortless- making it fun to drive!

just my 2 centavos... if you plan on using the strada on some bad roads where 4x4 is more of the norm rather than an option, M/T is the only way to go as you can control engine speeds much better. but if it'll be just good to moderate roads A/T is more practical... the only down side with A/T's is that they wear out your brakes so much faster!!! the additional dipstick that you have to check every so often and the slower acceleration compared to the M/T's, but bring the A/T's into the city....hehehehehehe you have yourself a winner!!!!! no problem with stop and go traffic!!!!!

hmmmmmm... good point sir thepatriarch, but don't you think they actually stand to earn more if the actually had more choices and tranny-engine combinations?

by the way, i was at toyota this afternoon, the hilux 4x4 3.0 di-d is now going P1.5M na daw for the top end model!!!!

pwede rin sir thepatriarch... hehehe... It will all depend on market research too... currently, the Navarra and Ranger has 4x2 A/T combos apart from their 4x4 A/T combos. i think they are selling well though.
