I travel the same route everyday to my work from QC to Manila and back. Initially I average 7.8 km/L. Now with my odo reading at 3k+, my average fuel comsumption is 7.4 km/L. May improvement but don't know if this is significant.

My ride nga pala is 3.2 GLS a/t.

'Dre im waiting for my 3.2 strada gls sport m/t '08 model and i made my reservation last Jan. 23 pa. My sales agent says mga 2 or 3 weeks in February pa daw ang labas ng strada '08 but i've noticed in your post na nakakuha ka na ng bagong unit, is it true that you got a strada '08? Just curious lang. If that's true maybe my sales agent is lying to me. Syanga pala i'm a newbie here sa thread na to, kaya lang e d ako makajoin because wala p yung rig ko. Me alam ba kayo sa mga modifications na ginawa sa 2008 strada ng MMC? Significant ba yung mga changes kesa sa mga previous model? Just asking lang, a million thanks dun sa mga nakakaalam. Anyone from MMC?

actually its a 07 strada but released january 08. I think the difference between 07 and 08 unit is the magwheels as per CASA. No price increase and no added features to the 08 units.

A okay. I thought they have installed MASTC and height adjustment features dun sa drivers seat. I've tested the unit but i find the driver's seat close to the floor. Yun nga parang nakaupo ka sa sahig tulad ng mga japanese kung kakain na at iinom ng rice wine. Sana lagyan nila ng mga features na ganito para di hirap ang mga taong vertically challenged..

I have read somewhere that Break in period on Diesel engines normally range from 5K to 10K...and in some cases even 20K....during such time..you get the best FC.

welcome to the thread. I hope you will get your 08 Strada anytime soon. We all know you didn't make a mistake in choosing this pickup truck.

For people who don't know what MASTC is, it stands for (Mitsubishi Active Stability and Traction Control). "This system offers maximum control in all driving conditions by monitoring the speed and attitude of the vehicle combined with levels of grip provided by the terrain being encountered. In high range two or four wheel drive traction control is activated if the on-board computer senses a driver is entering a corner too fast. By reducing the throttle setting and activating the brakes in a controlled sequence it helps the vehicle turn whilst maintaining maximum levels of grip and stability." - from carpages.co.uk

HI everyone,

I had my heart set on getting a strada last month, the problem was that the 08 models weren't available. I decided to wait for it cause the dealer said it would come 2nd or 3rd week of feb.

while waiting for it, i decided to look at other cars in the same price range of the gls sport a/t just for fun. i happened upon the subaru showroom last monday and i was able to test drive the impreza 2.0R, and OMG my jaw dropped to the floor when i test drove it around white plains and temple drive.

my dilemma now is that i don't know what to get. groan. both are great cars with different purposes. should i stay with the original plan, or should i go sporty with the impreza?

seeraulo: both of your choices are great. If you chose any of those, you wont regret them. Both of your choices are different categories. One thing is to check what you want your next car to be, then go with your decision. With impreza, it has the power and features. not a lot of pinoys know that suburu is good. at least you won't see much impreza on the road,therefore you will somehow be unique.

Opinion, check out more cars / trucks... i bet sasakit pa ulo mo. hehehheh j/k.

Why not go sporty with the Strada GLS Sport?

well in fairness to the strada, i don't know how it handles in real life. i was only able to test drive it at the diamond motors libis parking lot with a schumi-inspired top speed of 5 km/h.

One thing is to check what you want your next car to be, then go with your decision. With impreza, it has the power and features. not a lot of pinoys know that suburu is good. at least you won't see much impreza on the road,therefore you will somehow be unique.
