Hi guys. Am new in this thread. Just got my GLS last Dec.11, Cool Silver. The price increase is true at least 100k over the current net prices, as whispoered to me by the exec asst of the VP for sales of my mitsu dealer. We are indeed lucky to have gotten ours before the increase...on another matter...well, expectedly FC during the break-in may not be good....mine is b/w 6 and 7 for the harsh city traffic of EDSA/MM, and 11 from QC to Clark..can I expect an improvement after the first 1K service?

    Happy new year to all.

Happy New Year to all. Just got my unit today Dec. 27 Silver Gls SE. Ngayon lang ako

nagka car na diesel kaya nanibago ako sa tunog ng makina. Ok ang ride niya very

responsive and hindi matagtag. Sana lang nagbigay sila ng separate na manual for

    the alarm.

Looks like an "early bird" special. Good for you. The price adjustments are done to pave the way for the 4x2 variant which will probably sell at the 1.3-1.4 M range.

For those "left" behind...do not worry (if its a consolation)...another option would be the Nissan Pathfinder coming next year (see related thread in the forum).

Maybe Mitsubishi Philippines is preparing for the launch of the Montero Sports 2.5 4x2 and they need to make the price gap bigger.

So I think its actually good for people who likes the Montero Sports but don't want to spend extra for 4x4 or the 3.2L engine.

Congrats on your new ride. I know you will enjoy your MS. As for the alarm, meron talagang separate manual iyon. If you did not get one, please ask your dealer again for it and maybe they just forgot to include it.

Yup, the price increase is true despite the seeming contradiction to good old common sense.

And to add to your state of confusion , not only Mitsubishi, but almost all the major automakers here in the Philippines have already announced a price increase in their vehicle lineup starting January 2009.

Fellow MS Owners, since the keys to our vehicles are equipped with immobilizer chip, the only way we can get working duplicates is to get it from the dealer.

My question is: Has anyone here ordered additional key(s)? If yes, how much did you pay?

I've asked Union Motors Manila and I was quoted:

    1) Key = P1,100.00 more or less
    2) Programming the key = P1,000.00 more or less

So the total cost of the key is P2,100.00++. Maybe other dealers can give a better deal?

The reason I'm getting a duplicate key is that I don't feel safe with just two keys, that's why I'm planning to get a third key just for safekeeping / insurance.

Ganun ba, saan mo naririnig yung sayo? yung sakin bandang likuran eh, tsaka tuwing 2nd gear siya minsan may knocking sound, wala naman siya while driving, just right after pressing the gas pedal.

Hmmm don't seem to have that knocking sound... Better to have it checked ASAP or on the 1000 km checkup.

Drove mine thru SCTEX recently 170kph... Damn di pilit and still smooth... Love my Monty!

Some of my collegeues also wanted the MS but the casa run out of stock and january na ang next delivery. I hope they can still get the current price.

The nissan pathfinder is also a good alternative and they might just shift to this one if specs are better. Had an xtrail and i'm impressed with its performance and reliability. Bka ako mismo magdalawang isip kung side by side na available ang MS and PF when I was then picking up among MS, Altierra, Sorento and the Fort. But then again I already got my MS and no regrets, it performing up to my expectation.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL MS owners . .

    Hi,

I'm a new owner of MS. Glad to find this thread since i've been looking for sites/forums to mingle with and share ideas with fellow MS owners. Meron na po bang official group/club ang MS? Of course, sali ako kung meron na. Please let me know.

    Thanks. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
