personally, i am looking for accessories just to make the MS more rugged, and not in to extreme stuff like lowering. maybe lifting it in 2 to 3 years time is a possibility since i want to maximize the MS's 4x4 capabilitites. i hope the rear spoiler will be available soon...some new grills, roof carriers, new design overriders and bumper, stuff like that.

The turbo will heat up whether you rev up the engine or not since exhaust gasses passes thru it. The real purpose of cooling down before turning it off is for the impeller to stop spinning before the oil is cut off when turning off the engine. The turbo imepller spins at high speed turning off the engine will stop the oil from going to the impeller bushings which will damage them in the long run. staying on idle for a minute or so will make the impeller stop spinning. Ang biggest mistake others do is to idle for 1 minute then rev up before turning off the engine.
The front suspension of the MS is like the triton which is patterned after the monocoque pajero. But they differ in shocks and springs. The shocks and springs of the triton will fit in the front. OME has a kit but will lift it minimally due to the design of the suspension, only 10mm.

KCboy.. that's cool. Its everybody's personal preference right? I just like the fact that there are people who like to customize, but i really call it personalize your MS. I just don't like people to send their cars to the shops give a whole lot of money, and say "bahala na kayo". I really hate that, i hope i'm not stepping on anybody's foot by saying that, it just my own opinion.
Anyways, i heard about the rear spoiler, Mitsubishi is supposedly having it designed now by someone. One of the bodykit makers probably, just like before when honda had all their spoilers and kits made by atoy. But i'm sure it'll be really expensive from the casa. I approached atoy's about it, but as of now since there's no demand yet, it'll be expensive to make the mold.
We also tried putting on a honeycomb grille to match the bottom grille, but it didn't look nice, as of now, i guess maybe painting black or maybe just taking the front bars off so it'll add more depth? I would also love a front and rear chin... and i wana change the exhaust tip.. since the stock looks so dainty, but i don't want to have a noisy one, just the look.

October 26th, 2008 01:02 PM #504sobrang ganda ng reviews sa MS ah! :D
Now. my question is, ano ang bad side nito? Why should I not get this, lalo na in comparson with other vehicles in its class (Everest, Fort, Alterra)?
Thanks!

sir, to each his own, it's our MS so we can do what we want...heheheheh. saw the spoiler in the last car show at the world trade, also the honeycomb grills, maybe mitsubishi and other importers will be bringing in the oem spoiler once there are enough MS on philippine roads, that's why am just waiting, am sure before the year ends, it will be available.
for the body kits that you are interested in, just wait for ATOY to release one in the market soon, the MS is the next seller suv after the fortuner...matter of time lang yan.

from what I've gathered before buying mine, and bad side daw are:
1) no 2nd row aircon vents/at isang side lang meron sa 3rd row.
2) mas pogi pa din daw fort (mukhang fuzion likod, at strada harap)
3) dealership
regarding number 1, it has not been an issue sa akin. the 3rd row is not frequently used, and the aircon is strong enough for the 2nd row.
2 is subjective. though i also don't like the rear very much, but overall i like the design better. i don't agree na mukha syang strada na me camper shell. lahat naman at ganon, dahil pickup based nga tong mga type ng SUV. for me mas ok design ng side ng MS compared sa fort. don't like that 2nd row glass at yung 3rd row ng fort, again maybe that's just me.
3 so far no issues. di ko pa din nasusubukan magpa service. i am just about to find out.

For turbo timers, check out AUTOPLUS, they're selling pivot brand there for 3t including installation. EMPEROR also has some.. if i'm not mistaken, it was greddy at 6t. SPEEDLAB is currently out of stock i think but they carry apex-i and pivot.
From whta i hear, there's really no difference between brands since they all work the same way. Its just a matter of different options that come with it. ie: automatic adjustments... But i may be wrong, i'm not familiar with turbo timers, so this is based from what i hear from different people, they just happen to tell me the same thing.

me warranty issue "daw" kasi pag di winterpine ang nagkabit. turbo timers are not expensive naman talaga kahit yung known brands like HKS, Greddy and APEXi di naman mahal.
