there's mo problem with that, i got my MS in bulacan, but am having it serviced in mitsubishi otis. you're paying naman so no reason for them to decline, mga suvic units nga service nila...

Wheels, as per above, ang alam ko for fully synthetic oil you change the oil every 10,000 kms or 1 year whichever comes first.

But, as per CASA, you have to change the oil filter pa rin every 5000 kms.

Ano experience mo? Is the CASA correct? Thanks.

Anyway, if the CASA states that you have to change the filter every 5k kms or 10kms and NOT DOING SO WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY THEN PLEASE FOLLOW THEIR RULES.. However, FULLY SYNTHETIC oil provides higher performance vs mineral based oil. This means better acid resistance (moisture builds up in the engine), higher temp tolerance especially during load bearing, will not burn easily (will not turn black in 1 mos time), prevents carbon build up etc etc etc.. with these features it means your oil will still be clean and your filter too..

Here's a little math: your regular sales guy will run like a taxi cab, this means 100km/day.. assume he runs 600/wk x 4wks = 2400km/mo. This means he will change his synthetic oil in 4mos (using 10k/km as minimum time to change). Then again Mobil employees (sales guys) change their oils on their birthdays, that's once a year... Another option is called sweatening, this means removing 1liter or more then replacing it with the same amount of new oil...

Here's some trivia: some local oil companies here buy their base oils/base stock for lubes from Exxonmobil in singapore (they have a refinery their) and just blend it here. Blending means, they mix additivies to have a final end product..

So what makes FULLY SYNTHETIC OIL expensive? Its the process in making it. Crude oil is refined by a refinery, a by product of this process which is in gas form is then transmitted to a nearby facility (two plants to get synthetic oil) which then converts this gas to liquid form creating your FULLY Synthetic oil or SYNTHESIZED Hydrocarbon. Mobil automotive products use PAO synthetics or Polyalpha-olefin (synthetic esthers) which is cheaper than using POE (polyol-esther), this one is common for compressors especially using 134a.. most common in shops is called emkarate.

I have had clients who have plastic injection moulding machines (these things are hot) use hydraulic oils from various oil co's and I have seen how frequent they change oil. Personnaly the brands not worth using for their biz are petron, shell, gulf to name a few. Surprisingly Castrol proved to be nearest in peformance to Mobil and was cheaper (it didnt burn/darken fast) this is also true for engine oil (mineral).

For those who would be using grease for their bearings or when you change your tie-rods, rocker arms etc.. or you just re-grease everytime your car wades into knee deep floods. You may want to consider Mobil's Mobilgrease HP 222. It has Higher temp tolerance and most of all High Wash resistance (won't wash off easily when exposed to water). The color is blue

For those really into cars and use Mobil synthetic engine oils, well you may want to change your transmission oil to fully synthetic too. You will really feel the difference. Transmission oil is changed every 75k/km (manual), Change this while your car is new and you wont have to change anymore. I did this to an old 1.3 corolla wide body, smoother ang takbo, just make sure it is compatible. The toyota trans will use GL4 or GL5 rated trans oil. If not compatible, the synthetic oil will eat the metal on your gears...

Mine this week na release kasi sabi ko ipupullout konalang unit ko pag wala pa before Xmas kaya medyo nagpanic ung ahente ko... hehehe... so tom visit ako sa office nila kac nandun nadaw yung unit ko...

Nah, no problem dude. I got mine from a Delaership in Cavite and I had mine serviced at Citimotors Makati.

Yes having the HU control buttons at the steering wheel is very convenient, unfortunately yung monty even the hi-end....hindi pa nilagyan...buti pa yung toyota vios meron...hehehe

For any brand of vehicle, it doesn't follow that if you bought your vehicle from a certain dealer, the warranty will only be honored in that particular dealer. So you can claim warranty and have your Monty serviced in any Mitsubishi dealer throughout the Philippines.

Nung visit ko sa showroom, napansin ko na yung driver's seat height in relation sa dashboard ng GLS medyo mababa compared sa innova. Meron bang seat height adjuster un GLS?

Makapagtanong na nga din po sa mga innova owners na merong MS kung nanibago ba kayo sa driving position nito?

I'm interested in this suv, can anyone share their thoughts regarding its acceleration? I own a 3.0 Fortuner and I'm wondering if the montero sport can accelerate like the Fortuner considering the power and torque outputs are just the same (on the paper at least) and the Montero Sport weights more than the Fortuner?

Guys, for those who are interested, there will be a chin and a spoiler coming out sometime mid to end january from Atoy's bodykits. It is in the works as we speak! If you're interested, visit atoy's sometime 2nd or 3rd week january! There's no price yet sine the mold is still being made.. We came up with some ideas today and fit some samples and modified them to fit the montero! I think it's gonna look great!
