check the battery sir. my steering remote had problems before, winterpine sent me a replacement steering remote same thing happen. we replaced the battery using the casa's display unit, it was up and running again.

sir weng2 - i dont have the jvc KS-u30 video cable yet ... and yes the axv-77 has the USB cable , which i just plug it in thus cant play video yet with my ipod video....

sir djin_xxx, i think different HU is not the problem since the module kit winterpine installed in our stock jvc is a generic or i should say universal IR receiver , as long as the HU has OE remote ready......alpine HU has this feature also.
i think it would be most wise to put / install the original module from our stock to your new head unit coz there is no re-porograming since it was already program or tuned to the steering wheel remote.
when we turned the HU ON for the first time the steering remote works immediately and its been 3 days now ..... no problem occured what so ever. HTH

sir RevD,

option 1 . sir you need to buy a mono jack same with any regular earphone jack as long as it is a MONO one ( better to buy the more expensive one so that there will be no chances of loose connection ), you have to solder the blue wire to the positive pole of the jack ( which is the center part ) , the black wire to the shaft to the jack at the side FOR THE GROUND or just simply connect to the ground of the HU.
and lastly the RED wire which is the ACC is also the same with the ACC wire of our stereo.
since when we pullled out the center console it was raining during that time, so we opted just to cut some part of the wire (OE REMOTE) and just simple connect the blue wire to the center wire of the OE REMOTE wire. Black wire together with stereo ground , and the RED wire to the ACC also of the stereo.

There is no need for RE-programming , we just simply turn the unit on. from my knowledge it was already program to match the steering wheel remote by winterpine.. lastly we do not have the knowledge or gadget to re- program the module.

it's just a logic that having the same brain ( module ) on different shoe (HU). so there are no conflict since the module is also a universal type. HTH

Regarding the headrest monitor and sound set-up : scheduled this coming november at mickey's .......
i'm just too excited to install the new avx-77 since i have my friend here in baguio installed it for me the same guy who install the turbo timer on my monty

YUP !!! its very simply as ABC to ABC wire lang ( point A to point A of New HU )... aka " lipat bahay lang " ng HU.

I think its the same, since both are made by mac..... thus our jvc HU and other leading brands are designed for i product .... the only concern is for us to install another module for the iphone to benefit the handsfree and connectivity to the phone functrion other than that all features are the same .

sir mikko, how much was your turbo timer? i might buy one the next time i go there.

i got it at 5.5k , and just specify what make of your car so that they can provide the exact fit on vacant slots. no need to cut holes what so ever

this is my actual turbo timer i used, it's almost 4 months now and no problem occured only during installation that the installer should be extra careful........ and knows how to install one. you can set the timer 1 to 9 minutes .
