good news fellow monty brothers !!!!!

i just had my JVC avx-77 HU installed this morning with my friend and guess what ? We discovered that the OEM jvc is some what converted by winterpine .....
yes, they just adopted a module or jumpered the IR receiver to our T22 JVC.
which we just transfer it to the avx-77 HU and it work perfectly !!!
as long as your HU has the OE remote wire ( enable to receive Ir from the steering wheel ) i'l try to post the photos.....
No need to buy the modular kit anymore and i dont feel any delay with the response .

I think by default, the PHDM MS was using JVC HU. If that is the case then you guys are lucky because you don't have to buy additional module just to retain the steering control with your NEW JVC HU

sir Memphis Raines- absolutely yes sir , as posted photo just transfer the module , simple cut the 3 three wires ( there are 2 option 1. buy a mono jack same with regular earphone jack or 2. cut the OE remote wire and just connect the (a)blue wire to the center wire of the OE remote ( B ) black wire to the ground and lastly (C) the red wire same with the ACC power supply. HTH

sir Memphis Raines - if your monty is equiped with the steering remote , there's no need for you to buy the module just simple transfer the module on our stock HU
as you can see the yellow wire with black shrink tube originally connected the the blue wire is the IR module ( receiver ) itself, so in your case your avx-826 has the OE remote wire so there is no need to jumper the wire inside the HU.....

sir RevD - just check your avx-44 if it is equiped with the OE remote terminal..... if not only choice is to open your stock head unit and checked the location where they solder the yellow wire ... most probably to the IR remote circuit area.... HTH

sir RevD- i just checked the JVC entertainment website under feature that KD avx-40 is equiped with the steering wheel remote ready so i presume it would be the same with your avx-44 since its a higher model than the avx-40
so just look for the OE REMOTE cable....

did you install an ipod interface or cable in order for the iPod to work? or the HU has already a USB cable, just like the stock BT-22.

Hi guys anybody here having trouble with their steering remote? and if you fixed the said problem. I already changed my HU then Benjie of MASPRO fixed my steering remote but after a few weeks its going nuts again..
