for the front seps naman, what are good speakers that fit snugly with the stock enclosure. ive seen some people install new speakers and have the interior of their doors cut to fit the speakers... di ko kaya pacut ng metal :p are there seps that will fit snug without modifications???
sir teejay, I've just setup my sound today. So I've much to say about your questions especially the "cutting" of the interior plastic mold to accommodate the speakers. But i have to do it later, i took photos all throughout my setup process. One full day! (But I'm very satisfied with it and pocket-drained too).

To quote: originally posted by easyman3: "Perfect fit: depth and circumference for tweeters and mids. Just use the plastic casing of the stock speakers for mids and the plastic clip for the tweeters will fit any tweeters."

i thought so too but a 6.5 DLS R6A needs fabricated spacers to make a perfect fit without cutting either the metal hole where the stock speakers slip in or the plastic molding from the door covering the speakers.

In short, with the front sep it's not a "plug and play" fit but the DLS 226 speakers installed on the second door is a perfect fit.

Maspro is in Banawe. Contact nos. 0926-850-7166 or 731-0301.

The fee is about P1,000 according to richmond (xenon headlamp).

I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction or if the modification has been posted.

    1) Is there any modification for the driver side right arm rest? its almost impossible to rest your arm while holding the steering wheel.

    2) Does the stock JVC KD-BT22 have left/right input for a powered subwoofer?

    Thanks a lot

    Larry

    Hello Sir,

Let me try to answer your questions:

    1. What arm rest are you talking about? Is it the console box in the Center? If that is what you are asking the answer will have to be, no there is no way to adjust that. But if your unit has an arm rest...can you post some pics? I own a GLS SE and all I have on is the power seats with lumbar support and height control.

    2. Yes, Happily, the KD BT22 has 3 RCA Preouts. Front Rear and Sub. I have upgraded much of my sound system except the HU as it sounds good. It has a Hi Voltage pre-out (which means a cleaner signal). It has a parametric Equalizer (5 band with Q adjustments...which is really nice), and has Bluetooth (double nice).

My system is still using the headunit and the sound is very crisp and I have actually measured the SPL reading in-car during a KAC sponsored event using a termlab spl meter and I posted a 139.9 dB reading. Not bad for a stock head unit eh? I actually plan on competing with the same head unit in a sound off this december and hoping to post higher scores (~140-142 db hopefully)

    HTH :2thumbsup:

Well yeah it is a kit because they will attach something daw but the nice thing about it is that it won't void the warranty according to richmond.

from previous posts, maspro only replaced a chip in the steering remote circuitry to make it compatible to the new jvc HU

ahh yes... if you are on Ortigas Ave. turn right after sa Shell (Meralco Avenue na yun)... nasa kabilang side ang Metrowalk, make a U-turn na lang sa next intersection (underneath the fly-over).

dyan ang tambayan ng BOSBs every friday night kaya alam na alam ko hehehe... congrats mga MSCP brothers... nandito lang kami if you need any help

replacing a chip is ok for a P1k fee considering that the steering remote will now function. thanks.

    HTH,

Thank you for your reply! yes, its the center console of the SE.

Glad to know about the sub out. What speakers did you use to replace the stock?

    Cheers

    Makasabat lang poh

Maspro will install something like this in your car and attached to your new HU.

Not sure about the brand but it works fine naman, may delay lang. I have this kind of setup after upgrading to DDX8032BT.

Ah ok, so sir, that delay you mentioned is that delay of the command from the wheel to the HU?

Like when you press the button the HU takes a sec to follow?

ahh ok. 1k charge is cheap then considering the price quoted ng gadget na ito at $40.

may delay din naman ang stock steering remote ng monty. mapansin mo pagbilisan mo pagpindot ang volume button.

    Thats correct MR!

Delay is about 1 to 2 sec not like with stock HU, less that 1 sec lang in my experience.

Side note: SFCP recommend MASPRO, quality of installation is superb so sigurado ako walang hassle yan sa NEW HU ng MS ninyo. Meron din silang Auto window roll UP/Down for your Monty too.
