We have been waiting for our order of Montero 4x2 for over a month now after reserving a unit with a sales person's promise of 2-3 weeks delivery. We ordered from Union Motors stationed in Mall of Asia via financing, and sad to say that it's such a disappointing sales experience. The problem is that they seemed either IGNORANT or INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING on when the orders can really be delivered. It's been disappointing to hear one excuse to another of delays such as flooding, then too many vehicles for inspection daw thus slowness, then its taking them time to allocate daw, then now madami daw units nasira cause of high tides in sea (wtf), etc. The sales person said that this is just what "their marketing" is telling them thus it's just not the SA's fault.

What pissed me off the most was that pinag down na ako last week dahil ma kuha na daw unit in a day or 2, causing me to sell my old car (to put the proceeds as down). Since then, It's been over a week of our family having no car to use, and up to this date, still uncertain of when can it be delivered.

Long lines especially on hot vehicles is not a problem - this happens to nice models and is understandable. What is really upsetting is the fact that these sales people are:
1. Either *Ignorant* or *Misleading* people to buy with a false promise of delivery in a few weeks
2. Asking me to give the financing down payment in despite not being sure on when it will be delivered. (falsely promising 1-2 days delivery that time).

Note: there are probably other good sales people out there, so pardon this post if it's not for you.

I am seriously looking into cancelling my order, and is now looking into the Sta. Fe or the Fort.

I'm sorry to inform you my SA told me that the Montero Sport 4x2 White variant is not available at Diamond Motors Valle Verde Pasig. "Mahaba daw yung pila " She is willing to assist you if you want to avail a Sta. Fe vehicle. Diamond Motors Valle Verde is the sister company of Hyundai Motors at Marcos Highway, Makati & Manila.

reading your story really doesn't sounds new to UNION motors(specially MOA & PACO)delaership.....there had been a lot of complaints on this dealers and you are one of their "casualty"...sad to hear anyway..

example sa dati kong 97 city, using the standard "13 goodyear gps2 tires, may "ugong" on 80 kph. nung naguprade ako into 15's and using dunlop lemans 702. nawala ung ugong.

MS uses bridgestone duelers. falken at toyo ang nakita kong ginamit ng ibang may MS dito. i guess those are ok.

Yeah it is fun, suspension is firm, steering as ive said is communicative, and the 3.2 4m41 engine has mountains of torque. Its fun enough for a car enthusiast like me.

ano po ang bulb model number sa park light ng montero? i bought a LED park light and installed them on my monty. just 2 days of use 1 bulb was busted and the other died on the next day. tama naman ang socket nya compared the peanut filament bulb. what seems to be the problem why it went kaput in a short period of time. is it the LED bulb quality or i bought the wrong bulb?

Does anyone know how to remove scratches from plastic such as tire guards, plastic bumpers, engine covers, etc?

try using rubbing compound. when the scratches are gone, buff with any car wax. but i must warn you, with repeated application, it will make the plastic thinner.
