how did jwr show you my setup? i don't know jwr? Plus i didn't didn't design my sound setup, i just had 2 shops do it for me.. there's a story behind that. hehehe

My setup is really basic.. i was told that my setup isn't exactly sq, cause there's a bit of a boom. Basically, my setup excluding the headunit is just a pair of seps, an amp, and an 8'' sub. If its not yet sold, theres only more sub left that's the same as mine. I think maybe you can spend on that, and then just get a lower end pair of seps and amp.. and you'll be set. That's my suggestion anyways on how to save based on my setup. PM me if you have anymore questions.

just to share, i went to Atoy last Sat and bought my first mod for my monty... i got the "NTyCE inspired" tailgate cladding... now, I always want to look at my car's rear.. hehehe

i was fortunate to see a club member having his unit dress-up as well... to all bulakenos, look out for a gray monty in 18" lenso rims with a macho looking front.. hehehe..
Nice Ass if i may say niteman! Haha!

Well what do you know. If you got your ntyce tailgate cladding last saturday. Mine is scheduled this coming Saturday (Sold the first one i got to a friend from down down south thats why). I wonder kung sino makakasabay ko. Haha!

Sir Niteman, sorry to ask but when you say "you bought" was it just a walk in? Or you went there first for fitting and proper color matching and just went back for installation? Pm me naman the details. Medyo malayo for me if back and for from the south to the north area. Haha! Thanks sir Niteman!

By the way share pics using your dslr! Haha!

We have been waiting for our order of Montero 4x2 for over a month now after reserving a unit with a sales person's promise of 2-3 weeks delivery. We ordered from Union Motors stationed in Mall of Asia via financing, and sad to say that it's such a disappointing sales experience. The problem is that they seemed either IGNORANT or INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING on when the orders can really be delivered. It's been disappointing to hear one excuse to another of delays such as flooding, then too many vehicles for inspection daw thus slowness, then its taking them time to allocate daw, then now madami daw units nasira cause of high tides in sea (wtf), etc. The sales person said that this is just what "their marketing" is telling them thus it's just not the SA's fault.

What pissed me off the most was that pinag down na ako last week dahil ma kuha na daw unit in a day or 2, causing me to sell my old car (to put the proceeds as down). Since then, It's been over a week of our family having no car to use, and up to this date, still uncertain of when can it be delivered.

Long lines especially on hot vehicles is not a problem - this happens to nice models and is understandable. What is really upsetting is the fact that these sales people are:
    1. Either *Ignorant* or *Misleading* people to buy with a false promise of delivery in a few weeks
    2. Asking me to give the financing down payment in despite not being sure on when it will be delivered. (falsely promising 1-2 days delivery that time).

Note: there are probably other good sales people out there, so pardon this post if it's not for you.

I am seriously looking into cancelling my order, and is now looking into the Sta. Fe or the Fort.
I feel your pain too fortunately our casa here in the province finally gave the facts straight to us over the weekend - for our desired Savanna White or Gemstone Grey, the realistic delivery time frame is 30 to 45 days at least.

Now my wife booked the order last Sept 14 so which means that we might get the unit by November, most likely by the 30th.

SA's are the least to know when it comes to the true status of a booked order. Point in case:

Last week I was called by an SA of Diamond Marcos Hi-way and this is how it went. This is via texting.

SA: Sir good day po, follow-up lang po ako for your order with us. Deposit na po kayo ng P5,000.

ME: Ah ok, may stock na po ba tayo ng Savanna White or Gemstone dyan mismo sa casa ninyo?

    SA: OPO, MERON NA PO.

ME: Wow! Sige I'll fly-out there by tomorrow to get the unit.

SA: Pero sir mag-deposit po muna kayo para makapa-reserve tayo sa planta.

ME: Planta? I thought that the unit is in your branch na? Ano ba talaga Ms.?

SA: Actually sir para ma serve po tayo agad, deposit na kayo ng 5k so that you can be listed sa booking. Mas mabilis po kayo magkakaron ng unit.

    ME: :nonono:

ME: Actually Ms., naka-book na kami sa 2 casas dito sa amin so if I book with you I don't think it will make any difference at all since non of you knows exactly when a booked order will actually push through. So please do me the favor of simply giving me the facts straight.

SA: (pauses for about 30 seconds then..) Ano po sir...60 days po sa White. Mahaba po kasi ang pila sa Savanna.

ME: Thank you for that straight answer.

ME: Sige Ms., I'll ring you up next week after I check ang status ng order namin dito. Salamat miss for your time.

i asked to see a sedona red, she brought me on the 8th floor to check. when we opened the hood, there it is rust in the engine. when we opened another MS on the 8th floor, 3.2 AT GLS SE, also had Rust in the engine.

Now the SA was dumbfounded. she called the tech in charge and even Management to look. Management couldnt give an answer and wouldnt talked to me as SA was asking for help. the tech guy came over to say that its "maybe due to shipping as it was in the SEA for about a month or so, stayed in batangas port - wherein the warehouse is not fully sealed - that caused the rust in the engines. they say it can be remedied." tatangalin na lang daw nila. but no solid answers.

do you guys see these in your MS? dont really really know the exact location of the rust in the engines since i dont know much about engine parts. i wanted to take the photo using my phone cam, but SA said wag na lang daw.

please share your opinions? is this normal? can this be remedied? can this be prevented?
sir, tanong ko lang if mitsu makati has a BLACK 4x2 A/T on stock? any SA recommendation? pls pm me the mobile number..

Is it safe to repaint the plastic engine valve cover with the same body color of our monties? Will it torn out (or make bubbles) in time because of the engine heat? What kind of car paint do you recommend for it? A high-degree temperature paint? Is it available in the market? TIA

You can use VHT brand available in spray cans. Try Ace Hardware.

opinyon lang mga sirs.. unit order / booking or reservation for ms without paying a reservation fee of 5T is just the same as no order / no booking / no reservation at all...

Usually for plastic parts no need since all you have to do is to rub it with some sandpaper (forgot the number) so the paint can have something to cling on.

That's how I usually do it since adding a primer thickens the surface but you still can if you like.

D.I.Y jobs like this is so much fun.

I got my Savannah White from Anna Palacio of Union motors Caloocan in less than a week last Sept. She did not require any reservation fee or ask me to buy any accessories, no queue, no financing or in-house insurance either. Check her out guys:2thumbsup:

Guys for those of you who have the 4x4 variant, isn't it possible to relocate stock lcd display to another location just in case you need to put in a 2 DIN Dvd player like sir N T Y c E's unit?

Maybe the slot where the oem stereo sits perhaps?

We already had that in mind but it wont fit

Mikko didnt want to replace his Multi Info Display thats why he just opted to replace his stock head unit with a JVC AVX77 which was a good choice :2thumbsup:
