To those who DIY'ed EGR cleaning, mahirap po ba talaga tangalin yung 4 bolts?
Umaalog na yung makina sa kakapwersa ko, ayaw parin lumuwag. Hindi ko na tinuloy kasi baka masira ko pa engine support.

sir naka torque kasi yan kaya mahirap talaga tanggalin. mag spray ka na lang muna ng wd-40 and let it soak para mas madali. mas mahirap actually i-separate yung EGR pipe sa EGR valve may 2 bolts pa yun.

Mukang mahirap tangalin, maikli pa yung wrench ko 5 inches lang
Ilang hours ko siya isoak sa wd40 sir para madali tangalin?

kahit 1 hour lang siguro sir. It is really a proper set of tools that will make it possible for you to do that. Ako ginamit ko yung tubo ng jack to extend the handle of my wrench para easier leverage. wag mo biglain sir, dapat maingat baka may magslip tapos may masira ka. hth.

Napansin ko lang, normal ba yun na tumigas yung handbrake after 1k PMS? Napansin ko lang kasi nung nauwi ko na sa house yung Montero ko, before ko naman ipa-pms madali pa siyang itaas eh.

Sa tingin ko po e normal lang yan, ina-adjust po yan during the PMS, like nun sa akin during the 1K PMS, eventually e babalik din po yan like nun una nyo syang mahawakan..

Just want to get clarification - which VIC replacement oil filter for a 2.5L GLS-V is applicable: C-306 or C-313?
I have read elsewhere in this thread that it is the C-306 while others say its the C-313.
Which is the right replacement part?

before buying VIC oil filter to your expensive SUV sir, maybe you may want to read some reviews in this thread ....hth...

anyway sir, if you are insisting to use one for your montero, this info came from mscp thread, "For 4D56 use VIC 306, for 4M41 use VIC 313".... hope this helps....

Decided anyway to get OEM filters at cost of PhP940 along with Petron All-Terrain Full-Synthetic Oil CJ-4 rating 5W-40 at PhP430 per liter.
I guess the additional cost of more than PhP500 for the filter will ensure a cleaner, smoother running & better maintained engine.

I just had 1k PMS of my montero gls v sa citimotors alabang, mineral oil lang muna pinalagay ko, 1700 yung mineral oil, 2900 lahat inabot. Sa 5k pms na ko mag fully synthetic

Sir saan kayo nakabili ng Petron All-Terrain Full-Synthetic oil? Mura, kasi sa citimotors alabang yung Full-Synthetic Oil 825/L, 5781 yung 7L

Kung 430/L lang bale yung 7 = 3010 + 578 (10% of 5781, surcharge sa casa) = 3588, bale 2193 ang matitipid

* SEQ ganun din sa akin after the pms,looks like nag adjust sila ng parking break cable.mga 3 to 4 clicks na lng.a rule yata sa ibang thread pag 7 clicks above you should have it adjusted o pag nakaturo na parking break mo sa taas .
