February 25th, 2014 09:38 AM #1352Its good to know na ok na ang montero nyo.... And thank you for sharing the problem and solution that the casa did to your car... Some other Montero owners may also learn from your experience... Dapat din palang nache-check yung hose that connects the intake manifold and MAP pressure transmitter for clogging... Tama po yung suggestions ng iba to install na ng OCC, EGR blanking and have invested sa mga portable OBD2 scanner, at least kasi ay may idea na kayo what possible problem that you have with our cars before dalhin sa casa...

OCC and egr blanking wala pa po.

The problems you had are actually ones that can be prevented from happening. That is why we advocate some minor modifications like EGR blanking to every new Montero owner that comes across this forum. The MAP sensor clogging is connected to the presence of the EGR system. And yes, EGR blanking can save this from happening again.

Onti palang naman sir. Second time na egr related and once sa SCV.
May nabasa ako sa ibang thread na may natunawan daw ng plate due to excessive egt. Yung iba naman daw tinatanggal na egr and instead of using a plate, bolt on assembly na daw para mas makapal.
Still thinking parin haha.
Honestly i prefer kasi sana na all stock lahat haha.

I even read from another forum(www.pocuk.com)that one uses a softdrink aluminum can and was splitted accross the hole!
I got 2mm SS plate para sure.

LMAO on the foil or soda cans as blank plates
, with my 2mm SS plate from Zix, after 10k kms inspection, no signs of any damage/deformations so far.. kitang kita though yung fine soot buildup na naipon sa exhaust side na bina block nya when I removed the plate for inspection.
