40k pms all brake pads was changed...

Wow, may kamahalan ang 40k ah...how much inabot PMS mo sir? what other items/checks were done? TIA.

23k inabot including the brake pads. Medyo manipis na nga. Heavy Check up checklist ang ginawa sa 40k PMS.

yes casa service. lahat lahat ng parts dala ko, service lang sa kanila. diamond at citimotors.

next pms ko, mag fully syn mobil1 at mag baldwin nako.

Ok yang both oil and oil filter but mas ok siyempre yung repsol na semi syn.

Check mo muna baka madumi lang brakes mo. If a/t ang MS mo, try shifting to P during idling para less brakes gamit mo and you sav a little sa gas din.

just had my 10k pms kahapon. inabot ako ng 16k plus but luckilly nag promo ng 35% discount sa parts and 15% discount sa service so nasa 13k plus nalang nabayaran ko. sa Fast Auto World Cagayan de Oro ako nag pa pms.

7liters of turbo xp, oil filter, diesel treatment, miscellaneous, brake pads front, wiper cleaner, labor ang naka list sa binayaran ko...

Sir, you may want to consider OEM oil filters from Michiba Marketing dito sa CDO for your next oil change. Php 850 lang ang para sa 2.5L tapos Php 1K lang ang para sa 3.2L. Mas madaling kausap ang mga attendant sa branch fronting LCG Goodyear.

Nearing my 1K PMS and I was already dead set on using Royal Purple oil for my MS after reading so many good reviews in tsikot.com, but when I visited the RP website their recommendation is to use their oil after 8-10K miles! Posted a query at the Royal Purple thread and speedyfix did replied that :

"this is because diesel engines take a long time to break in. and using synthetic oil will cause it to take even longer. the best time to use synthetic oil is when the engine is fully broken in na. " ..... " you want the breakin to be done as fast as possible so that the engine becomes efficient sooner. mineral oil with quick successions of oil changes is the best thing when a diesel engine is new"

So my questions ( I was not able to read it in the previous pages or I may have missed it) are:
1. Whether the oil in our MS is synthetic or mineral when we brought it out of the dealership? (if its synthetic then I will just have to push with a synthetic)

2. If the perceived "break in" period of the RP website for diesel engine is 8-10K miles presumably using mineral oil, does this hold true for the 4d56 or was the engine broken in prior to delivery to the dealership?

3. Any recommended brands of mineral oil for our MS?
