To remove the PMS reminder, just do the following:
* Press the center of the triangle for a couple of seconds until you see a password required board.
* Enter 6923.

It works for me. I have read it somewhere in the montero sports thread...

Nabasa ko sa Manual na pwede din pala 5w30 sa Montero.. 2.5 4x2. May nakapag try na po ba? Pang 20k na kasi PMS ko and planning to switch to engery conserving oils na 5w30.

Also how much po damage sa 20k pms? Need na po ba palitan yung brake pads sa 20k?

Nagpa PMS na ko sa Balintawak 15.3k singil sakin Palit Fuel, Oil, Air filter etc..

Update lang sa Check Engine light ng Montero ko.. Dinala ko sa Mitsu Balintawak SA ko si Conrad. Sabi niya contaminated daw ng tubig yung diesel na nasa tangke ko. So kumuha ako ng sample ng diesel sa 2 gas station na pinupuntahan ko may pang test sila kung may tubig yung diesel nila.. Yung "water finding paste" magiging color red kung may presence ng water sa diesel so far yung Petron and Uniol station malinis diesel nila.

Hiningi ko din yung sample ng Diesel na galing sa Fuel Filter ng montero para ma check kung meron water content sa Gas station negative naman yung results. Binalikan ko yung SA para tanungin kung pano nila nasabing may water contamination sabi tinignan lang daw nila visually kaya nasabi nilang meron. Ang recommendation nila is ibaba yung fuel tank (additional 1.5k sa labor) since bago na daw yung fuel filter na ibabalik at madumi yung diesel na na kuha nila.

Naapaisip lang ako na malamang kaya madumi yung nakuha nilang sample ng diesel kasi yun yung galing sa fuel filter so yung mga dumi na dislodge na nung binuhos nila yung laman ng fuel filter. Sabi ko naman humigop sila ng sample straight from the fuel tank via sa gas cap pero ayaw naman nila. AFAIK meron ding separate warning light ang montero pagka may na detect na tubig sa fuel filter. Nung tinanong ko yung SA about that sabi obserbahan na lang daw muna... Ngayon nasa Casa pa din yung Car ko baka bukas pa matapos yung 20k PMS at yung pag check ng steering column noise.

this is the reason why i stopped going to union for servicing mg strada and montero sport sa union, because of the B.S. they tell you regarding the water contamination sa fuel tank, strada ko bumigay scv at 5k kms, they said water contaminated yung fuel ko, and dami extra charges siningil kahit warranty pa, in the end i felt binawi lang nila sa akin yung cost to replace the scv by charging me the fuel filter 2,500, then labor 1,500, then extra charges pa. kaya bad trip sobra.

Sir how about original oil filter san shop makakabili other than casa?? like a shop in banawe for example. Thanks again.

i went with after market oil and fuel filter than have the same price or cheaper than what the casa charges. i went with balwin usa filter, they filter 10 times better than vic or original filters.

any ideas on delo sports 15w-40 synthetic blend and repsol diesel turbo?

purolator oil filter? i'm planning to use these on my 10k pms.
