There are two philips screws on each side of the airbag module. remove them. the airbag should come out. disconnect the jack and get a 14mm ratchet at loosen the main steering bolt. disconnect the battery before anything as you may trigger an airbag explosion. use something to force the steering wheel out. i use a steering wheel puller. others use a steel bar and just bang the hell out of the steering wheel. good luck!
by the way, i noticed recently that my paj doesnt accellerate as aggresively as it used to... docile beast as it is. I noticed that there's a bit of soot coming from the hose going to the intake manifold. on the turbo side, the hose was moist with oil, though upon inspection, the innards of the turbo were clean (whew) i concluded that the intercooler hoses were loose. i tightened an put additional clamps on the engine side (both intake mani and turbo) and voila! i can now accellerate normally!
PK bihira ka nalang maggpost dito, mukhang masyado ka nang busy. update mo naman kung ano pa ideas or repair details about our paj.
dati nangyari sa akin while running kumalas yung isang intercooler hose (di nasikipan nung nagpalit ng fuel filter), talagang nawala nga yung power,
may isang clamp ng intercooler hose, above the fan belts, na halos nakadikit na sa valve cover, ingats dito kasi yung akin nag rub yung screw ng clamp sa valve cover medyo malalim na nakain. buti di pa nabutas.
any idea bakit pag pinapatay ko engine medyo mapalag siya? bago lahat ng supports ko, sa engine, transmission and transfer case.
i experience the same thing when shutting off the engine sir... i guess it's normal basta hindi major shudder yung nae-experience![]()

Patulong naman medyo nakalimutan ko na kung pano mapalit ng bushing ng a/t shifter ng Gen2.5 May mga iingatan ba sa panel na kakalasin? Bandang likod ba yong unang kakalasin?

Pk nafefeel ko sa flooring ng driver side. I think transfer case yung mapalag.
LarShell 1 pc yung center console. Remove transfer case shift knob ang panel ng handbrake. 2 screws sa haraP Sa may tuhod natin. 2 screws sa loob ng cupholder yan medyo mahirap. You need a very long magnetic philips screw driver para maabot mo. silipin mo sa loob ng cupholder. The rest 4 screws yata nasa loob na ng console box. Tanggal na yan. Remove sockets nalang.

PK, yupyup bago lahat, 2 sa engine, AT support and TC support. medyo nanibago kasi ako nung gamit ko yung new paj, pag balik ko sa gen 2.5 ko tsaka ko lang narealise na marami na pala dapat ayusin. pero nung gamit ko dati akala ko normal lang. I'm aiming to eliminate all vibrations and i want it to run smooth parang nung bago. pinalitan ko na rin front and rear diff oil and TC oil pati AT oil and filter, I want my paj to look and feel new, medyo malaki na improvement, especially kapag naka drive ka and naka full stop, my idle is at below 800rpm and its now very very smooth. yung palag nalang pag shut down and may konting vibration sa skid plate ko, lalagyan ko ng flash band (deaden) yung skid plate tsaka yung front diff shielding. OC na ba? pls feel free to comment, alam mo naman ikaw ang mentor ko pag dating sa pajero,
larshell wala naman akong clips na naalala sa center console, yung sa hand brake panel lang meron. HTH![]()
Larshell - when you replaced your shift boot bushing dont forget to transfer na rin the rear a/t switch on the side of passenger seat, transfer it beside the suspension switch.
PB- what makes you replace your engine support.. im thinking of replacing too my paj engine support but cant see visible crack that would warrant the replacement. Pero maalog na rin makina ko, how did it cost you for the labor and material? Thanks.

Ano nga palang Brand ang binibili nyo na brake pads? Bendix palang nasubukan ko. Baka may ibang brand kayo na alam na mas ok na mas mura pa. TIA
CB di ko itemized yung price. But 10,500 lahat inabot ng mga support orig siya. labor 800 binayaran ko sa suking mekaniko. my truck has done 92k kms. I think ok na palitan. Pero sabi ng mekanik ok pa daw supports ko. Gusto ko lang malessen yung vibration especialy pag naka idle. Hth![]()

Mahal ng OEM e. Kakatawa no kayang bumili ng Pajero pero brake pads hindi.
How much na ba OEM Brake pads?
RICO and ASAHI brake pads, very cheap! pero nag squeal nga... have'nt tried bendix pa nga e, ok ba? walang squeal?
Haha.Wag mo tipirin brakes. Major part yan. Nakakasira din ng arrive yung squeeking brakes. Imagine sunduin ka sa hotel valet. Tapos pag preno ng paj mo. Eek eek eek yung preno mo.
imho di mahal brakes ng paj 3500 yata sa front and 2800 sa rear. Not sure kung tama alala ko. Mas mahal pa brakes ng ibang brands like sa rav4 and expy.
Meron IIIK sound basta nag preno ka ang Bendix. Pero matagal maubos. Around 25k mileage na ngayon di ko lang alam kung gano nalang kapal nya ngayon. Check ko nga bukas.
