    Mga sir,
I wonder if anyone can help me diagnose a problem I have with my '99 Fieldmaster. Anyway, napansin ko lang na upon slowing to a speed of around 30 to 40 kph, I hear a whine/groan (whooo.....whooo.....whooo sound) at the front part of the car.
the funny thing is, if I switch to 4 wheel drive, nawawala yung tunog.
Has anyone experienced this? Any thoughts?
    BTW, automatic yung unit ko.
    Thanks,
    Philip

I'm planning to replace the stock rims of my 07 strada with ralliart. Can this tire pressure sensor be transferred to the ralliart? Or does the ralliart rims have this since ralliart naman ata ang stock rims ng fielmaster? Many thanks!

That happened to me. It happened along with the dreaded 'flashing front wheel icon' symptom so I knew there was a problem with the 4x4 system.

I just switched it to 4H for about two months since I didn't have time to have it checked. When I finally switched it back to 2H, the problem was gone! hehehe. It might have been a vacuum leak. Some of my vacuum lines were oily and had some sludge on it (maybe the sludge covered up the leak?).

Mitsubishi claims that switching to 4H (which is designed for road use unlike the off-road only 4Hlc and 4Llc) adds only about 2% to the fuel consumption because whether or not the Pajero is powering all 4 wheels, the front drive components are still rotating at road speed. The front axle does not really freewheel unlike those on old school 4x4's.

    JET,
Supposedly you can transfer them. But you'd need to replace the gasket if they are not in good shape already.

Wow, thanks sir Otep. It's good to know na may ibang naka-experience nito. And I also have the flashing front wheels icon. Similar to your experience, pagbalik ko sa sa 2WD after using it for weeks in 4WD, okay na ulit. then babalik ulit yung ingay so switch na naman to 4WD. Will check the vacuum lines, I guess it's worth a try.

Front bearing lang napa-repack ko. Yung rear pressed-in ata yun. Natulog yung Pajero ni woodfire sa shop ni chieffy dati para magawa yung rear bearing.

Wala bang battery itong sensor? Where does the sensor get its power to transmit the tire pressure?

Another question for the Pajero Masters.
I would like to have my steering wheel grip redone.
How do I remove my steering wheel?
May SRS na kasi ito eh.

    Thanks in advance.

share ko lang, grabe na pala dumi ng atf ko, 99 pajero. i drained my AT oil twice in its lifetime, 40k kms and 80k kms. im now at 91k kms. kala ko enough na yun, narinig ko lang sa katabi ko sa casa about his transmission problem, kaya napapalit ako ng filter. sabi ng service adviser, replace daw dapat filter and oil every 40k kms. check niyo rin rides niyo para makaiwas sa transmission problem, or ako lang ba nakalimot about the transmission,

Tank cover yata [for cosmetic purposes] meron sa Carryboy Banawe. If you want a functional [but not as pretty] fuel tank armor, 199 OffRoadHouse in Tondo can make 1 for you.

JAOS items are also available from Campershells (near Carryboy Banawe). But they cost a pretty penny and the for armoring purposes, the less prettier stuff from 199 and other local fabricators seem to work better.

The front bumper airdam is available from A-Toy West Avenue. No idea on price. I think Garage Custom in Libis also sells them.

Thanks for the info bro. I saw the website of jaos meron nga silang local distro dito sa pinas. Sana wag ganon kamahal

May problema nga pala ako sa steering, may wierd sound " Eeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiing" lalo na kung ilalabas ko sa garahe. Is this normal? But after running a few kilometers wala na sya. So I asume thats normal because cold metal contracts then kung mainit na expands lolz.
