Anyone who experienced problem with their 4 wheel drive. Mine does not disengage after using the 4L. 4H ok naman. I brought it to my mitsubishi mechanic and he repaired the stick bushing and one of the vacuum hose but problem is still there. He told me he needs to replace the free wheel clutch but I havent scheduled the car.

IF the lights are still flashing, keep it in 4H (fulltime 4wd mode) to be safe.

madaming topics regarding this sa forums. Just use search.

www.pocuk.com forums is also a good place to study about vacum/solenoid failures of the SS4wd system.

Check the vacum lines including the one to the vacum tank (the one which looks like an oil filter on the axle.

Then there's the vacum operated arm (with rubber boot), near the top of the front differential. That part has been known to sieze.

    GEN I - boxtype Pajero
GEN II - like mine (available locally '95-'98)
GEN II.5 - blister fender 'Field Master' (available '99-present)
GEN III - newest model (unibody, independent suspension)

Then there were the 'other' Pajeros like the Pajero Jr., Pajero iO, Pajero Mini, etc.
