Last night as turned off the engine of my 2.5 gen all the locks went wild and were going up and down. It stopped when I pressed the drivers side lock down. This morning it happened again and has been going on ever since and every time I turn off the engine or when I open the door. Has any body experienced this? Thanks.

landlord, sira na drivers side central lock motor. may option ka to get replacement lang mga 500 lang actuator plus yung brain ng central locking mga 500 din. ang downside lang is medyo titigas yung locks mo and yung sound hindi na stock yung motor sound, mas mabilis na siya. or orig 6k yata, not sure tagal na kasi eh, hth

Nangyari iyan sa unit ng brother ko. Pero intermittent lang. Kapang ihold down mo yung lock knob, hihinto naman.

    Promdiboy, thanks for the info.

Otep, same here, pag press down mo nang lock humihinto na. But when you turn off the ignition, all locks, rear included goes wild.

Pwede ko kayang interchange yung actuator (?) with those of my Gen 1? Tutal bihira na tong gamitin. Thanks again.

Sorry, if my first post in this forum is to seek advise from the expert. I'm an owner of Fieldmaster with 115K mileage. Last week I drove to Baguio with my Pajero and have noticed weird engine response as i reached the city. Up there my pajero is emitting both black and white smoke as i revved it which i have never experience in my 5yrs pajero driving. It was the first time that my pajero hit baguio road. Another thing is that my pajero is encountering near overheat condition. All these gone when i reached the sea level altitude. Are these problem altitude-related? Is there something wrong with my pajero, please help as I'm still worried though even after a week has passed. Salamat po.
Sir, just to be on the safe side, have your engine checked. at 115k kms, your engine might already be a candidate for overhaul. not scaring you, but it's very possible.

Do you notice if your oil is being consumed without any drops on your garage?

If not oil, what about coolant?

Dont worry though, overhauling is not as scary as it sounds (or looks)

Kailan ba dapat replace brake pads? When I had it serviced a month ago sabi medyo manipis na pero pwede pa naman gamitin for a few months. Yesterday napansin kong nagii-squeal ng konti pag tinapakan ko brakes pero nawawala naman after driving a few kms. Time to replace na ba? 25kms tinakbo nya.

    pk,

my pa gen 2 has been drinking coolant more often, it's like i have to put coolant every month or so on the reserve bottle, you think it's an overhaul issue?

Hmmm, pa check mo muna yung fuel pump, radiator cap, hoses and circulation system. Might be a leak somewhere. Clue mo diyan meron green or red colored residue (depends on your coolant) around the cooling bits iside the engine compartment. As long as hindi sa exhaust lumalabas yung water pare hindi naman siguro overhaul.

OT: Pare check out my VFR in the motorcycle forum hehe

    pk,
tingin ko hot lang engine bay ko, as you know i have that grill with foglights so nablock na yung air vents ng paj ko, kaya siguro the pajero drinks more coolant than average.

    o.t.

    papost naman yung link.

    sir pajerokid,
inquire lang ako, my pajero has been having this problem for a long time. The oil is being consumed without noticing any drops what could be the problem sir? , di naman sya mausok at malakas naman power.

My Paj stalled yesterday. The battery seemed to suffered overcharging, it was soo hot! I installed a fresh battery, courtesy of my sister's car and it started again.. when i was to switch back to my old battery while the engine is on idle it dies whenever i remove the clamp form the battery terminal.

oh well.. drove it home with the 2sm battery and when i arrived, i quickly monitored the battery and it was again too hot!

Looks like an alternator problem to me.. wacha guys think?

BTW my paj is A/T, so we could'nt jump start it.

problem solved; busted alternator IC.. repair will cost 2k including labor. Luckily i have a surplus unit lying around, originally the paj has a 90A alternator.. good thing the 75A is sufficient.

spent only 250 pesos for the electricians fee.

Sir, the oil has to be going somewhere Baka loose compression na po iyan, solvable by overhaul. Pero try to manage it muna. If hindi naman excessive, try to live with it and wag mo na lang muna isipin hehe. Excessive, i would say, is adding a liter every week or two, pag ganun sir, go for the overhaul. a liter a month is bearable.

Nga pala, all diesel engines consume a bit of oil under normal operation.

Hello sirs! I've been reading this forum for quite sometime already, very informative. A lot of expert advices, and am learning a lot. I just got a 2003 Fieldmaster A/T two weeks ago, and am still getting to know her. Hope to learn a lot from you guys!
