    Sir Garci, I've been eyeing the Starex GRX also and has been to HARI showrooms quite a few times already. Starex is definitely mas maluwang nga and more comfortable to the riders kaya lang eh parang ang puso ko ay Pajero pa rin ang itinitibok, hehe.

    Nakatabi ko nga sa parking lot minsan ang isang black GRX and pinaka-sipat ko silang dalawa ng Pajero ko ng todo. Well. as a Pajero owner yourself, you could almost guessed kung ano ang naging impression ko, di ba? Opps, pero baka naman masyado lang tayong nagiging bias, ang daya-daya natin.

    Btw, if you decide in selling your Fieldmaster, can I have a look on it. Malay natin eh di mapupunta sa maa-alaga ring mga kamay ang FM mo.

    Hmmm. Personally bossing i dont do PMS hehe Just my quarterly oil change and yearly ATF replacement. Everythng else is on an "as needed" basis.

    Mga Pards, I was just wondering how's the fuel consumption of a M/T 4D56 TDIC (2.5 Li) Gen 2 Pajero compared to a A/T 4M40 TDIC (2.8 Li) Gen 2.5 Pajero Fieldmaster. I know its definitely mas matipid but I'm unsure of by how much? Thanks.
    Had the pleasure of owning both. The Gen 2 2.5L TDIC MT will give you around 8-8.5 km/L on a mixed city/highway cycle.

    The Gen 2.5 2.8L TDIC AT only around 6.5-7.2 on city driving.

    Wow, mas matipid pala talaga ang Gen 2. Of course, provided that the engine is in good condition muna.

    Btw, bihira yata ang M/T na Gen 2.5, ano? Kalimitan ngang nakikita kong mga later models ay A/T na 4x2 lang?

    has anyone here experience at high speed at aruond 140km/hr nag babago yung shifting ng gear? napapansin ko tumataas yung RPM but the speed is the same.is this normal? kala ko sa FM ko lang napapansin to at pati sa erpat ko na pajero same model ganun din. if I remember last post ko dito akala ko kinakapus ng power. parang hindi smooth yung takbo nya obvious na obvious sa andar ng makina halatang nagshishift to lower gear kahit na patag naman yung daan. naranasan ko to at NLEX after san fernando sarap mag patakbo kasi dun at medyo mahabang deretso. Is there anything that I can do?
    I already did changing of fuel filter and shifting from Shell to Petron the only good thing that i got is smooth shifting. but yung napapansin kong problema at high speed is andun pa din. iba pa din ang Manual tranny di maeexperinece tong problema na to.

    anyone has experienced this please share naman dyan....

    Yup. bihira ang naka 4m40 na 5MT. i think glennster had one, tulin daw. (compared to other paj models.)

    vikoy, normal na mag downshift siya pag nadepress mo pedal. lalo na pag napabilis ka ng tapak sa gas. pag nasa nlex ako I use the hold function para hindi siya nagdodownshift, make sure nasa fourth gear ka, this will yield no downshifts and better fuel ecoonomy. usully pag nasa nlex naman 80 to 120 tayo, kayang kaya yan ng 4th gear. pag dating mo lang ng toll gate baka magtaka ka bakit ayaw umandar, off mo hold, parati ko nakakalimutan yan sa haba ng nlex. HTH

    Fellow tsikoteers, is it necessary to install a turbo timer? And if, where can I have it installed? The one I have now is 4M40 2.8 Gen 2.5 A/T. Thanks.

    Dude, read my post carefully.... ARANGKADA (accelleration), not RECTA (speed). Was comparing the 2.5L MT vs 2.8L AT. I've owned both so i can tell you first hand that this is so. Then again if you dont believe me then dont.
