PK, thanks for the advise re: mechanic from El Dorado cubao, I'll see if I can use them in the other things that are needed to be done.

Got the Pajero yesterday from Servitek, no choice talaga, only had Excel-G available so yun na pinakabit ko, will see how good/bad it goes the next few days. Also replaced ball joints, axle boots, upper suspension bushings and brake pads all around. (almost all replacement parts kasi masyado way out of budget na for orig eh.)

Spent a mini fortune, but well below what I would have spent on original shocks alone. Me konti pang gagawin sa kanya, but mostly sa engine na. Have to bring it to Central Diesel pa din to check the "pugak" when cold idling. Get's really hard to restart it after it dies out when you first start it up. I also have to get my 4wd done, it's permanently engaged sa 4wd, pag nilagay ko sa 2wd nag bi-blink na then uugong na sya, (from somewhere down below) then I have to put it back to 4wd para tumino ulit. Hay naku! dami pa din.

boyg, nagpalit kana ba ng transfer case oil? try mo muna to, kung mawala yung tunog when shifting to 2wd, mura lang naman papalit oils, kahit sa gasoline station kaya na, use gl5 gearoil sa transfer case. and sabay mo narin diff oils habang nadun kana rin, gl4 sa diffs, si PK yata merong budget calibration na alam, 6k lang daw inabot sa kanya,

    promdiboy,
sige, i'll try that next week, out of town ako this weekend. Interesting, sana yun lang.

    PK,
where's this budget calibration? PM me na lang po. ;)

Got to ride the Pajero tonight and I must say, the ride's stiffer than before it was fixed, but I think ok naman sya. I don't find it overly harsh, mejo matigas lang, but acceptable. My wife immediately noticed the difference when she took the controls. Overall very happy with the change. Thanks to all of you!!

Im not sure if this the right thread to post; Im considering changing the to HID lighting. I have read that it is better to change to projector type headlight assembly rather than using the stock assembly for halogen lamps. Could anyone share info as to how this would be done?

Is there an assembly that is available for Gen2.5 or is there anyone doing retrofitting?

    Thanks in advance.

Good day to all FM Gurus! It's been a while since I posted some of my queries on Pajero Fieldmaster's Pros and Cons.

I finally got a 2004 Ralliart FM last friday for my family; well technically it should be today since the unit will only be delivered just today. The sad part is that I will only be able drive the said vehicle in 2 months time since I am working abroad..

Well sirs, here are my initial queries:
    1. What is the average fuel consumption of the said vehicle (both city driving and long-distance)?
    2. Any specific advice on daily maintenance of the vehicle?

    Thanks in advance..

It'll do between 6-7.4 km/L depending on traffic and your right foot. daily maintenance, wala naman. thats what i like about the paj. make sure you religiously change the engine oil every 5k kms. i suggest you dont use synthetics. sayang lang.

garyt88, sadly walang ready made na projector for our pajero, but kung adventurous ka pwede naman, may nakita na akong gen 2 na naka projector with separate high beam.

AC, thats good news, buti naayos agad,

rfmafia, congrats sa pajero, how much na ba market value ng 04 model ngayon?

    1. for city driving usually 6.5 to 6.8 ako pure city driving, mahataw ako magdrive eh,

PK, paps just got my confirmation email form superbright leds, shiship na daw,

    * Sir PB - Thanks.

    * Sik PK - Thanks for advice as well.

Naisip ko, yung peso-consumption pala ng FM nearly the same with the 96 civic VTI considering the price differential of gasoline and crude.

front control arms (upper and lower)
    rear lateral arm
rear control arm (front and back)

    Good evening mga sirs.

This is my first time posting in this thread. Im considering buying a second hand 2003 Fieldmaster. Mga 50K+ km ang mileage, being sold for 1.05M.

I'm thinking of negotiating to lower the price. Alam nyo ba kung ano ang average selling price ng Fieldmaster of this state? What do you think is the lowest price I can ask for? Is P900K too low?

    Thanks,
    Padoods

A few question for the Gurus

    On Brakes:
Have a Gen 2.5 with 35k+ mileage. When steppin on the brakes, I can feel a few bumps on the foot pedal. Ano kaya ang problem dito? So far there is no audible sound such as screeching...

    On installing Horns:
Planning to install a nautilis horn, but cant seem to find a space big enough at the grille area. Any suggestions as to where to install the horn and at the same time not sacrificing its tone/loudness output due to poor placement?

    Thanks in advance.

    Good day Pajero Gurus.

I'm considering selling or trading in my 2002 Crv for a 2001 - 2003 Fieldmaster Pajero.

I'm in real estate and i have to bring the car to unpaved roads.. And my 2002 Crv just can't hack it..

I got a few questions i need some help with.

I'm a bit confussed with the fuel consumption of the FM.. Some people say it would just go 6-7 km/l but some say their Paj's go 8-10 km/l CITY driving daw..

Next would be the transmition. Since i've had bad experiences with mitsubishi tranny (96 lancer had to be replaced)

Next would be the upkeep of the paj? Any "usual" headaches I should look at?

So i need your help guys.. Is it practical to sell my 02 Crv for a Field Master or just stick with the Crv?

Replace or reface your front rotors. Malamang warped na yan. happened to me with my old paj. mura lang naman ang replacements..
