You can use the search function for more threads about the everest. Eto lang though.... the Everest will never have the audience impact of a Pajero. hehe. Im sure maraming eepal sa sinabi ko pero for the majority of Filipinos, that's a fact.

September 14th, 2004 04:01 PM #292agree ako diyan PK, more wow fctor for me ang gen 2 na pajero versus the everest.
if i didn't need a pickup for my scuba diving, i would not part ways with my gen 2 pajero.

I would agree w/ PK, it has been a pinoy traditional status symbol ang pajero. I've read threads about everest na malaki daw ng turning radius therefore difficult to maneuver. Since my wife drives e baka mahirapan siya.
Anyways, thanks for the input, mukhang kursunada ng wife ko ang pajero over everest.

update ko lang. na-experience ko na rin yung hard starting symptoms accompanied with low rpm, gray smoke at the tailpipe. as a process of elimination, i switched back to the diesel of the big 3 oil companies as i had shifted to "pure diesel" sold by the smaller oil players after i had my glow plugs replaced by the casa during the 40k km check-up. the switch didnt help dramatically so yesterday, when i had the pajero serviced at the casa for its 45k km pms, i told the service advisor of such symptoms. later, he called me up to say that the glow plugs needed to be replaced. i told them that the glow plugs were just replaced last march (40k km pms), he told me everything was in their records and the problem really lies in the set of gow plugs. i picked up the car after a day, filled the tank up with shell diesoline and didnt statrt the car for two days to test if the problem would persist. after the pre-heat indicator went out, the engine fired liked a dream and the glow plugs were really at fault. at 750 pesos for each glow plug, + the 45k km service, at least nasulit yung binayad namin sa casa. moral of the story pajero peeps, always fill up with reputable gas stations. i think it was the shift to the fuel sold by smaller gas companies that fouled up my glowplugs.

did they charge you extra for the glowplugs or warranty? saan casa ito cheaper kuha mo sa plugs compared to eldorado.

promdiboy, yup. had to pay for the new glow plugs kasi 3 months lang yung warranty e. also, mali pala yung nasabi previously. 750 pesos pala yung labor for changing the plugs while each glow plug costs 1207 pesos. grabe, within 1 year naka 2 sets of glow plugs na ko! i dont know how much el dorado is selling the glow plugs kaya i have no basis for comparison. on the other hand, i suppose pare-pareho lang naman ang pricing ng parts ng bawat mitsubishi casa

its 1200 sa megamall eldorado, nagulat nga ako sa 750 for orig glowplugs. ang nabili ko sa eldorado is only replacement 550 each. after a year so far ok pa naman. siguro may katotohanan nga yung theory mo sa fuel. did they test all 4? or palit agad ng set. sayang baka meron pa hindi pundi.

di ko nga nakita kung pano nila tinesting kasi iniwan ko yung kotse. comparing the 4 plugs replaced last march and the 4 plugs recently replaced, lahat sila kulay uling yung tips e. basta ganda na nga magstart nya ngayon. parang yung starex namin na one click parati (lagi kong kino-compare yung start-up behavior ng 4d56 IC at 4m40 IC e, concluded before na mas maganda yung 4d56 kesa sa 4m40 kasi pati yung box pajero namin dati swabe magstart. ngayon ok na =)
