no problem sa alarm ko. its the actuator daw. 6,800 yung orig. I had it done here sa province but sabi nila baliktad daw yung polarity ng pajero. kaya pag unlock mo. naglolock siya(vice versa), hanap ddaw ako sa banawe ng replacement actuator. sana nga meron para di mahal. ang drawback daw pag replacement na is titigas yung lock mismo pag inaangat.

May sinugest saakin dito, kunin ko daw yung actuator ng tailgate ko, yun ang ilagay ko sa harap. then yung replacement ilagay ko sa tailgate, since di naman daw mahahalata. can anyone confirm this possible ba ito?. meron ba talagang replacement lang na actuator sa banawe for 350.

    paging sir pk, :help!:

Sir Promdi, Ive been using my replacement actuators for like about 5-6 years na, satisfied naman ako. You cant tell the difference actually, it even surpassed the life span of my stock original ones. And I really dont think you need to interchange your actuators, I mean what for? Dagdag trabaho lang yan. Just look for a reliable and magaling na installer na malapit sa inyo na pwede mong balikbalikan just incase something goes wrong again.
With the replacements....tipid ka na, may pangvalentine ka pa.

Something similar happened to me during the peak of heavy rains last year. nag uunlock then lock then unlock yung power locks ko. I suspected water shorting the electricity somewhere. the good thing is, when the rain stopped, so did the random locking and unlocking.

Anyways, I went for originals dun sa Gen2 ko when the lock servo got busted.

Iba kasi yung itsura nung originals kesa yung generic servo motors. Installing generic lock motors may require drilling holes in your door or installing rust prone brackets.

Sorry but for proprietary electrical parts, I recommend installing the original parts. Mahal, pero at the end of the day you have more peace of mind.

so would this be also an issue with the pajero? ganun din sa amin when we got the car way back, almost 3 years ago. dami kasing dinadaanang baha yung folks ko on the way to my dad's office.

they couldn't recall lang nga what was the fix, yun nga siguro yung fix na nabanggit na dito, but the casa covered that kasi under warranty that time.

....to add. Generic actuators like those which come with alarms have the "push-pull' action. The OEM actuator actually looks like a box and the lock-unlock motion is done by a lever. From here pa lang you can imagine the modification required. True, madali lang ito, but it's still a modification no less.

Not all generic actuators are the same naman. Hanap ka ng match sa original actuator. If I recall, may one box of actuators ako dito sa bahay (4-5 pcs. in a box).

And yes, its quite a dilemma choosing between the 2. If you choose the cheaper 1, hindi ka naman sure sa quality. Choose the original 1,may peace of mind ka nga butas naman ang bulsa mo.

This is a long shot but there are some mitsu. employees out there though who are working sa parts department ng kasa that sell genuine parts for half the price (under the table syempre) and usually sa mga old dealerships mo makikta mga ito. Pasensya na kasi I cant name drop, Its only a matter of talking to the right devious person when asking for some parts. Ang mga items na nakuha ko before are original brake pads and glow plugs for half the price. Yun nga lang klangang patago ang transaction.

Ask the parts manager at the dealer if they have surplus door actuators. They will usually sell this to you. Usually galing sa mga doors that were replaced for collision repair or sa mga total wreck. It does not really have to come from a Pajero. The actuator is a common part shared by different models.

Dati kasi pati emblem from a wrecked Pajero binebenta sakin. hehehe. Kaso bago ang kailangan ko at the time.

If I remember correctly 1998 nag start ang fieldmaster. Yung Gen 2.5 ko 1999 model, 4x4 pa. When I got my old company car in August 2000 (Expedition), Ford already carried the 4x2 trim. So I guess Mitsubishi Phils started selling the 4x2 Gen 2.5 at around the same time.

GaryQ: Mine is FieldMaster 2.8L 4x4 with Auto Tranny bought on March 1999. I'm seeing similar ride being sold at 880K-920K on some 2nd hand car shops.

Mitsubishi sold Gen2's in 1998 kaya lang you could distinghuish these by their colors, meron nang white etc. Late 1998 they sold the Gen2.5 as 1999 models. 2000 was the last year for 4x4 Pajeros. 2001 up puro 4x2 na. Gen3's of course are 4x4.

yup, the term fieldmaster was first used as the "limited"edition of the gen 2 pajeros. these had leather trim and special colors, and if i am not mistaken, their third row seats were facing each other, not facing forward.

for a 1998 to 1999 FM in good condition, i would think 850 to 950 would be a good price

Guys I'm having a problem, mine is a gen2.5 pajero. I tried to bring it to citimotors pero they just did a transmission oil change and still I don't see any difference. meron na bang nakaexperience ng ganito?

When do you experience yung magandang hatak? Early in the morning or when its raining? How about yung mahinang hatak? Around noon or when it's really hot?

If yes then this is normal. This is due to the fact that early in the morning and when it's raining, there's cooler air going into your engine. And vice versa for hot air. Remember cooler air is much better for forced induction equipped engines (Turbo).

Just to be sure have your turbo intercooler checked to ensure that it's properly working.
