boyg, ano yung upper suspension bushing, ito ba yung bushing ng control arms, parang di pa ako satisfied sa suspension overhaul ko, may mga naririnig parin ako parang maluwag sa ilalim, lalo na pag di makinis ang daan,

PK, baka may idea ka anong bushing dapat palitan? nung pinasilip ko sa goodyear, wala naman daw cracks, but I think kahit papaano sa tagal narin, may mga play na rin.
I made lsit ng mga alam kong bushings paki add nalang kung meron pa,

front control arms (upper and lower)
rear lateral arm
rear control arm (front and back)
yung mga bushings sa body and chassis ang dami, muhang pass muna dito.

gusto ko mabalik yung feeling bnew, 100k kms gift ko na yan sa pajero ko,

Haha! Umandar na naman ang pagka-OC mo pare! Sorry i dont have a complete list of bushings e.... alam ko nga medyo marami yan.

i bought a 2nd hand pajero fieldmaster (2001 model)automatic the last week. my observations for the time i was driving it: (i'm from cebu)

very slow in uphill climbs- as in really slow even if you would floor the accelerator resulting in black smoke coming out of the muffler. noticed this problem when we drove it to Balamban. the power doesn't come out even with the pedal already floored and the a/c switched off

very poor acceleration from halt- it takes a really long time to accelerate to 60 km/h..

yah.. i think this is the major problem..others such as the wiring can be done pronto (ODO mileage is only 52,000km)

i think the engine has very poor compression. any comments/ suggestions/ solution and advices to address this problem sirs?

need help badly. if you know any good mechanics and tuners please share sa contact details.. thanks

2.8L TDI ( diesel) 4m40 A/T 130km ( 1st own car ko po)

just wanted to ask couple of things d ko n po kc mbasa lht ng nkapost no tym sory po

1. recommended engine oil ( locally availble fully synthetic? more on engine protect po sna.) ask ko lng din gano krmi nid per oil chnge
5km/6mons ideal oil chnge po ba?

2. side mirror Driver side wont automatcaly closed
( 1 week ago was functioning well? wire prob or d SM itself?? ntabig?)

3. A/T button ( power/ hold)
power - uphill? nd overtaking?
hold - no idea???

tama po ba enligtenment nmn po

4. ideal brake pads to use???? where is it availble?? how much?

5. is it true coolant can cause ( mabubutas daw ung mga valve accdg tp one mechanic use plain dist water lng daw? e2 b ung coz ng water oi mix up?? ) sa 4m40

6. recommended tire pressure
275 r16 dunlop grandtrek A/T . i use 35 psi ( based on shell )
40 psi ( buffalo cheap pen)
im planning to install TPMS.. how much po kaya un??

7. is my fuel consump ok
6-10km/L +/-1km/L mix driving city/hghway qc to cav???

8 is it true a/t trans slow at accel

spd i rarely bring it to the open 90-100km 2.5k- rpm,? is it ok? is my paj cpble of going for higher spd?? ( 7 person loaded wid bags for outing) is it ok OD ON. a/c on A/T button off

20km-30km 2krpm D2 OD Off / A/T off. is it ok?

9. my pajero 4wd blings even if im on 2wd upon starting but after 5-10 mins it will gone off is it ok??.

PK, this will make you smile, padala ko sayo mamaya leds ng 4wd indicator and aircon controls.

I think its brighter than our led speedometer,. ang layo sa dating led natin. sa liwanag nag rereflect sa upper wood panel.



pajero peeps, try cleaning the ring of the aircon switches, mas liliwanag yan, medyo puno na ng libag kaya dumidilim, sa pic yung left switch madumi, yung right nalinisan na, just pull the switch tanggal na yan. yung thermostat and vent control di ko matanggal, takot ako baka masira ko.

1. use mineral nalang,
2. not familiar ako,
3. hold - ginagamit ko sa expressway, pag nasa 4th gear na, para di na siya mag downshift. kahit na anong depress ko ng pedal. smoother ride,
4. oem brake pads, 3,200 front and 2800 sa rear
5. no, its better kung may coolant, higher boiling point
6. 32 psi akin
7. my last full tank naka 6.79 kms/liter ako, pure city
8 yes, mas mabagal, dont turn off O/D unless your going downhill, lalakas kalang sa diesel. dont go beyond 100, malakas sa diesel, mahal na diesel ngayon.

Has anyone tried the Alchohol Injection (Devil's Own) thing on their Pajero FMs? Any feedback would be appreciated. I'm actually willing to try this gadget, just waiting a little bit for some testimonies from actual FM users.

zephyrx, you dont have to play with OD that much, lalo na sa city driving,

bro if you switch OD off your AT will only shift from 1st to 3rd gear, kaya its better to leave it on, para pag bumilis ka it will shift to 4th gear. pag iniwan mo naka off yan pag abot mo ng 60 you will rev higher instead of shifting to 4th gear. kaya lalakas sa diesel. the only time na pinapatay ko yan is pag downhill, like kennon road pababa, pag iniwan mo sa OD on sa downhill, ang tendency is it will speed up going downhill kaya preno ka ng preno. OD has nothing to do with power, it just turn on or off your top gear (4th gear), HTH

grabe na mahal ng diesel ngayon, nagpafull tank ako kahapon, 3,550 na. ngayon lang tumuntong sa 3k plus ang full tank ko. tips ko para medyo maimprove consumption, its not much but makakatulong din.

-increase your tire pressure, 38 psi na ako ngayon.
-keep airfilter clean, binubugahan ko ng compressor ever 2.5k kms
-set aircon to econo with thermostat at 11 o clock.
-check your idle speed, dapat nasa 800 rpm lang, kahit naka engage compressor ng aircon
-keep AT mode sa normal, dont use power, useless din puro ingay lang,
-lighten your load, kalasin niyo na 3rd row niyo kung wala naman sumasakay. you'll be surprised how heavy the seats are, lalo na yung front facing. ilang screws lang naman yan.
- dont go beyond 2k rpm, I know its really slow, but kung wala naman maabala sa likod dahan dahanin na ang pag accelerate,

I own a Pajero 99 M/T and am considering to have the injection pump calibrated and injectors checked. Madyo maitim na ang usok. Any shop you can recommend around Antipolo-Taytay-Cainta area. Medyo malayo po sa amin shop ni Mr. Atutubo or sa Central Diesel sa QC

mas tifid po ba biodiesel??? i havent tried dat one pro may mga nkausp n ko n fx driver.. hus proud of using dat.. cleaner emiission. nd mas ok daw hatak.. d fuel eco part mdyo d crdible......one drawback they said mdyo mhirap pag cold start... cgurro ders no prob for d pajero nmn un.. considering it is on d advantge kung mlmig un sa ordinary diesel.

i just had my pajero 99 field master calibrated, sobrang usok prior to the calibration and every morning i need to to manual pump the fuel filter pump to keep the engine going before it warms up, the service shop told me naghalo na ang oil and fuel, so they did a calibration on my injectors and so far ok na, my new problem is the lights of my electric compass is not functioning and the oil on the leveling devise is droping for unknown reasons...

zephyrx, ibat ibang tires, iba iba ang rating, sa akin 60 psi ang max niya kaya ok pa ako sa 38, naka print naman sa sidewall, pero ang tigas nga, kailangan na talaga magtipid. btw ang taas ng FC mo, di ko naabot ganyan kataas, pure city driving ko 6.5 to 6.8 lang talaga, hindi ko pa natry gumamit ng biodiesel, kaya i cant comment. pero bilib ako sa 4m40 sa emissions, hindi ko nakikitang mausok, and I got .19 sa last emissions ko, very proud ako dito.

jrod, yung compass bulb mura lang, buy ka sa casa, you need 2 pcs, pero para sure buy kana ng extra para di pabalik balik mura lang naman, 80 pesos each, take note mo yung part no. yung pinuntahan kong casa hindi familiar sa compass bulb, gusto pa nila ng sample, kasi iba iba daw, kahit sinabi ko nang 99 model na pajero,


bro yung inclinometer kailangan mo kalasin and tapalan ng silicon yung leak, sa gen 2 pajero namin, kinalas ko then sa kwarto ko iniwan for several days para sure na wala nang leak. just refill with baby oil. use syringe to fill. para kang nagrefill ng inkjet cartridge. ang pinakamaselang part niyan ay yung likod ng inclinometer, ang nipis lang ng plastic, and sa katagalan nagiging malutong, kaya be gentle, malaki ang chance na yung likod ang may leak, nagcrack siguro. I suggest gawin mo na to asap, kasi for sure your oil is leaking from within, and pwede matuluan yung radio mo,

parang ang baba ng max TP ko hahahah~ nweiz kaya cguro mataas FC bka dahil dito... just a wild guess hehehehe

- sometimes d n din tlga ako nagpepreno.... i mean... if i abwt to turn in a corner... just 1 -2 block away...... tinatatnya ko n ung speed ko befor i arrive * that spot para kahit wlang preno.. jst enough speed.. for d proper turn.....d n rin tuamatpak ng cylinyador.. i mean kung trapik sa A/T kc tatabok din nmn ung sskyan ng konti tpos stop nagad... hehehe. tska kung pababa nmn trapik...... just lyk in pasig bridges... neutral nlng~.. hahahah

- what iv learned from d honda fun race/ FC actual comparison... take d inner lane AS much as possible..... para mas mababa takbo mo in terms of km..... nd some probable factor to consider daw abwt FC>..
un lng cguro gwa ko asided from d basics.... and other FC tips

waaaaaaaaahh i dont know.. if tama hula ko about sa wastegate actuator ng 4m40......

wen facing d pajero - baba left side ng turbo....... 2 bolts b un parallel to the ground tpos may 1 bolt sa same line tpos perpendicular to the other bolt............. meron cyng prang bakal/ hose n pababa pa....... hope i targeting the right thing hahahaha

Dati pa meron papi. Yung rear seats maingay talaga. nilalagyan ko na lang ng basahan para tumahimik. Yung fronts ok naman. Pero meron loose kasi sa A/C ko since huli ko pina-cleaning. Parang ang lakas ng vibration kapag high revs, mejo naooverpower lahat ng ibang noise hehe. For the fronts, pwede natin itry lagyan ng penetrating grease yung mga hinges, although medjo mahirap abutin yung innards ng seats.

2. larger exhaust pipes
3. K & n filter open type + breather

any shops you recommend na posible n sila n gumawa nito.... est naman po inc labor...... ung mdyo cost-effective po sana... and malinis magtrabahu.

zephyrx, nagpacalibrate ako noon dahil pag umaga bagong start namamatay siya, pero pag uminit na makina, wala nang problema, walang usok, ok consumo, mabagal parin. kung wala naman problem pajero mo, wag mo na pagalaw. mukhang mahailig karin yata mangalikot, pag may idea pa na mods, post mo lang dito. si PK ang inventor ng washer mod, idol yun. siya makakasagot ng tanong mo. sa pagkakaalala ko yung waste gate natin nakahiga ang position, parang tin can ang itsura, sundan mo lang yung turbo may tube na connected sa kanya. baka di kasi tayo pareho ng pwesto ng turbo.

PK, ginawa ko yung sinabi mo saakin na angatin yung sticker, tsaka ko nilinis, and ginaya rin kita, sinadya ko rin hulugin yung led sa loob. idol kita eh, medyo masikip yung socket ng new aircon leds, pero papasok siya, and you need to aim it properly para maganda ang kalat ng ilaw. ganda ng color ng blue and red sa thermostat, yung aircon blower ko may tunog din paminsan minsan, parang daga yung tunog, squeek squeek na mahina, di parati meron, parang bearing yata ng fan motor, nilagyan ko ng wd40 pero minsan meron parin. leather talaga ng pajero masyadong maingay pag nagkikiskisan, ang isa pang source ng ingay yung hinges ng sandalan ng 2nd row seats, pag nalulubak umaalog.
