Lol

    Just a thought.

Assuming these "alleged SUA" are a result of human error, how come most of the report involves a Montero?

Is it because there are more Monteros on the road than any of other types of SUV, hence the probability is higher? Probably not because there are thousands of Fortuner on the road also.

Is it because Montero owners/drivers are "dumber" than the rest? (Sorry for not having the right word to use)

Or is it in the design of the vehicle? Maybe the brake pedal is very close to the accelerator pedal, etc.

    Or maybe a hardware/software problem?

Sana bumagsak na resale value ng Montero MT to 400k. 2 of my credit cards offered me the best interest sa credit to cash for 5 years. May 60k ako diviidend ngaun to buy 4 sets of AT tires, 4 rota black rims saka 4 na westlake AT + lift.

Ganito lang sana model ang kunin ko for my Land Rover Wannabe Rig. Pero because of this.

Its in the design of the BRAKE pedal and the accelerator pedal (too close to each other). I have a 2012 montero and when I am wearing crocs slippers, there are few occasions that my right foot accidentally touch the accelerator pedal when I depress the BRAKE pedal. Lucky it is only slight touch and not fully depress like what happened to the white montero who almost killed the cat :bwahaha::bwahaha::bwahaha:

nonetheless, the only chance of me giving up my monty is if mmpc will replace it with 2016 model for free or give me extra 5 years free maintenance.

Yeah isipin mo 400k for a MT. Eh mas mura pa ito kaysa getting a bare Jimny

    to be customized like this

    imageuploadedbytsikot-forums1448603149.293572.jpg

    --------

The thing is pano kung mag stay na ang Montero sa 400 to 500k mark. babagsak din kaya ang Used Jimny, crv, escape etc coz there will be an instsnt flood of cheap Monteros in the market. All 79000 units of them sold in the Phil. market

Pag nag 200k jimny 2014 MT, eh dun na ako

Is there a possibility that the said control can trigger the engine of Monty to start?

No its not. Mas madali pang magkamali sa mga mini cars like mirage, eon, picanto, etc etc..

's why i got a wigo AT.. nag-babanggan ang paa ko sa MT.. but i can not seem to confuse the gas with the brake pedal in the AT.
perhaps, a combination of ergonomics... brake & gas pedal height.. driver seat height/design.. center console.. steering wheel..
