Regarding the 3-year warranty of our Montero, just wanted to share MMPC's response to one of my many online queries on MMPC's website: this one was for the rear fog lamp installation for a 2012 4x4 m/t gls-v:

"... but as per Basic Vehicle Warranty Exclusions, any modification done beyond the standard specification on the vehicle or its parts/components is not warrantable even if it’s done at our authorized service center.

this may be read as, you may modify at your own risk. As long as nothing happens, it is alright. If something happens to the vehicle within the warranty period, even when modifications are done at their own dealers, repair/replacement claims under warranty may not be approved (subject to evaluation by the warranty people).

it seems that this covers all modifications/ad-ons to the vehicle which are not standard equipment to that particular model.

so either wait for the warranty to expire or just ignore all the above and go ahead and dress up your monty to your heart's desire. your personal satisfaction and enjoyment is, as one credit card ad says, "priceless"!

im no expert in mags and trade ins, sir better bring your montero there, then they will qoute a price on your stock mags and tires. then shop around if in case you have a choice that would go to your montero. along west ave by the way has a lot of mags sellers, so you have some shops to visit and canvass.

Of course no doubt about it, its the vgt engine. Had an old starex before and a grand starex vgt and even with bigger body of the GS, its still more fuel efficient than the old starex. So i am presuming it would be the same for the monty. Plus the fact that vgt engine produces more power and torque than non vgt engine. Hth sir perry

mga sir bago lang po ako dito... ill be getting montero gtv 4x4 mica grey... ask ko lang po whats the best or ok lang na mags for it... yung hindi masyado mahal pero ok na sa color ng monty ko and san makakakuha.... TIA =)

sir i think the best mags for monty is BLACK RHINO ,,IMHO affiliated ng concept one but the price is kind a stiff,,139k yung pinaka mahal n nakita ko try to go to their website Concept One Wheels - Innovative Technology they have some pictures also of monty with black rhino mags

mga sirs talaga bang may konting vibration sa steering wheel mag start sya ng 120kph? first time ko lang kasi nagamit ng monty sabi naman nung kasama ko dati wala daw ganoon mga 25k na Monty nya.

sir yung sakin ganun din mga 120kph may vibration konti. try nyo muna pa balance yung mga gulong sir. yung sakin pina balance ko nung 10k check nawala yung vibration sir.

good day mga boss. i need a little help. kahapon nag-full tank ako sa unioil sucat where i use to go. wala talaga akong masabi sa unioil. malinis ang diesel, hindi mausok at walang amoy. problem is, nung patapos na, naisipan kong magtanong kung binaha sila nung last 2 or 3 weeks na malakas na ulan. nagulat ako nung sinabi sa akin na oo. bigla ko naisip pano na ito, baka may tubig yung kinarga. syempre tinanong ko and ang sabi sealed naman daw yung tangke nila at nag-check daw for water (how it is done i don't know) and wala naman daw nakita. now my problem is, pano ko malalaman kung may tubig nga na halo or wala? i am a bit worried kasi kaingat-ingatan ko pa naman dahil sa mga naririnig ko tapos eto ngayon may possibility na may tubig yung naikarga sa akin. please help on what i can do, what to check, anong symptoms.

Mine does not even have the line indicator. It serves the purpose naman and fairly priced than the OEM. ;)

Yung sa akin sir is yung maliit yung glass kaya parang mas malabo yung plate light. Pa check nyo lang yung mounting sir baka di lang maayos. I would prefer na kita yung rear bumper para safe sa parking on tight distances..

sa ngayon observe lang muna. in the future pagnagpalit kayo fuel filter, yung may water separator na kunin ninyo like baldwin fuel filter

2012 GLX owners, mga paps meron na ba sa inyo napagana yung GPS ng unit natin. sinusubukan ko kasi pero i'm getting application error....unit needs to shut down error. baka meron sa inyo nakakaalam ng remedyo. salamat po

2012 GLX monty dont have GPS install. what you need to do is to bring it to the dealer to activate that feature.

yup wala nga sir but it's ready. it's only the sd card that is missing sir. nasasayangan kasi ako pag dinala ko sa casa or winterpine for them to activate. (6k din po yun) given the right software baka mag work since meron ng nkapag activate sa adventure thread

sir zix, maraming salamat sa reply. ilang km ba nagpapalit ng fuel filter and saan ba sir nakakabili nyan? pansin ko lang parang medyo humina ng konti yung hatak pero below 2k rpm pa naman. hindi pa naman ako yung kailangan umabot ng mas mataas na rpm, sana wag naman. kung may tubig, mag-eevaporate din ba yun? baka balik shell v-power muna ako sa next full tank. malas binaha yung nagiisang unioil station na malapit
