Petron Turbo Diesel gamit ko sir Zix888 actually hinahataw ko sya s STAR expressway nung ng flash yung warning and kakatapos lng ng 20thou miles maintenance four days prior nung nangyari yon .Wala namang nag iba sa performance nya medyo tumaas pa nga fuel consumption nya dati ng aaverage lng ng 7 now pumapalo ng hanggang 9km.per liter . Suspect ko lng yung pinamix nilang diesel treatment siguro na flush-out yung contaminants sa engine...

Correction ko lng sir Zix888 9km.per liter sa city driving and 13km.per liter sa hataw mode...

parang baliktad yata sir, bumaba fuel consumption mo kasi dati 7km/li ka lang now 9km/li na. bumaba kunsumo mo ng fuel kasi mas malayo na natatakbo mo sa isang litro ng fuel

naku sir once in a while po ang hataw, not necessarily overspeeding, high revving, shifting on 3.5-4k rpm on 1,2 gears will be fine kung open ang kalye. pero kung 20000kms na madalang ang hataw, build up na ng carbon sa egr yan. even anong hataw hindi na matatanggal yan, cleaning ang kelangan. and yung warning lamp diyan, kelangan ng resetting tool niyan( mitsu laptop). kahit nga palitan mo pa new egr yan kung hindi nireset yung warning, it wont go off

as usual your posts are very informative and help fellow monty owners a lot. they are very much appreciated.
question, how often do you suggest we do this periodic high revving for city drive montys? and how long do you rev it at 3-4k rpms (10-15secs?), how many times do you rev it (until black smoke clears?). this was also suggested at the dealer (high revving and spirited acceleration to burn the carbon deposits). also, their laptop diagnostics may still register no problem, even when your unit emits black smoke at high revs.

euro 3 and euro 4 compliant diesel fuel stations are hard to come by. more often they look dirty and not well-kept compared to big 3 stations. you see pujs using them as garages. unioil along shaw gets flooded often. so even if their diesels have lower sulfur, bigger possibility of contamination??

i don't think shell has brought its ultra low diesel fuel here yet. but most of its stations are cleaner and in better locations. its premium diesel (nitro diesel) has additives that make your engine perform better (lower noise, better throttle response, etc) but i am not too sure about its sulfur content since it is still rated at euro 2 compliant. government regulation for cleaner diesels and euro 4 compliance for all will not be in place for another 3-4 years.

ah, well...more frequent egr cleaning, fuel filter changes, etc???

DONT use shell nitro, as in parang PUJ ang smoke, even a slight press on the accel pedal, usok na.

occasional sprint lang na 3.5-4rpm( if it is safe and open ) not necessarily staying on that rev, and yes until mawala yung heavy smoke. sa case ko naman, every day nlex, minsan upon entry hataw upto 3rd gear tapos cruising na after that, and minsan naman before my exit kung maluwag byahe( kasi high rev on high gear medyo extra careful na kasi high speed na din) . kaya mas okay pa sa first 2-3 gears para hindi naman high speed.

Ask ko lang, nagpa 5k PMS ako last month and the odo reads 6.2k now. Chineck ko kahapon ung engine oil via dip stick and napaka itim nung oil.Dba dapat hindi pa siya maitim? And also 4-5-6 ata ung type of measurement, ung nasa dip stick(correct me if I'm wrong) and nasa 5 ung unit. Sa peak motors sa may pasay ako nagpa pms. Mostly every weekends lang nagagamit ung unit (gls-v 4x2 '12) and city driving. TIA.

may thread dito na halos isumpa yang Peak Motors sa Pasig. next time sa iba ka na lang magpa PMS. malapot ba yung oil or medyo malabnaw pa? and anong klaseng oil ba pinalagay mo? mineral or synthetic?

Uphill pa nga. May times kasi na hindi na uphill yun road, hindi pa rin mag upshift yun gear, try ko rin mag upshift using the paddle ayaw rin kasi.

pag uphill ako nag switch na lang ako to sportronic mode para sure na masunod yung gear na gusto mo.

I also used the sportronic mode but ganun din, bigla na lang mag downshift to 2nd gear. Then pag dating sa patag, ayaw rin mag upshift. Something wrong o ganun lng talaga? Tnx

Sir baka naman uphill climb talaga, in which case the transmission has to downshift to give you more climbing power.

Uphill pa nga. May times kasi na hindi na uphill yun road, hindi pa rin mag upshift yun gear, try ko rin mag upshift using the paddle ayaw rin kasi.

may sensor yung egr ng monty, mag-check engine if you try blanking it

sir six i blocked it before the egr cooler. you can only have check engine light when you block the hose which is connected to the sensor i guess. as of today wala pa naman check-engine light after 3 weeks of blocking the egr . mine is glx-v
