hi monty owners! i've been driving my gls-v for a month already and so far all praises tlga. ride comfort simply the best, FC very efficient, so far on a ave. its 11km/L and one thing i always notice during an acceleration and then i take out my foot on the gas pedal i always hear this sweet sound of air coming out (sounds like na prang may pahigop though), im not really sure what's that honestly, pero definitely sound to my ears tlga. haha..
nwei, im approaching to my 1k PMS, i suppose by end of july, just want to ask what's really the ideal oil for our monty sythetic or mineral? though majority of the people i asked inside the casa said that synthetic is the primary option of their Thailand manufacturer. just want to hear some thoughts of using mineral as well. what advantages i can get and other stuffs that can fully utilize our monty's performance. TIA guys!

the sound that you hear is the "turbo" During my 1km pms, the Casa told me to use fully synthetic oil(Turbo XP ata - Mitsu own brand of oil). Pero according sa iba mag mineral daw muna until 5k. Backread a bit para mas marami kang makuhang impormasyon

As long as you change oil regularly as per manufacturers recommendation or more frequent, any oil will do. I would rather pay for mineral if I change very 5k than pay synthetic but change every 10k. Diesel engine oil easily gets dirty. So even if you have synthetic oil but the dirt will stay inside the engine for a long time then it's better to change more frequent than on longer intervals. You can be sure to have clean oil most of the time. Just my two Centavos.

check the steering column cover, sakin dati maluwag yung screws.

Mga sirs, ask ko lang totoo ba na hindi na daw euro 4 or 5 compliant ang Sea Oil? Nagexpire na daw po kasi ang contract nila sa supplier eh. Saw this sa ibang forum. Just want to clarify and ask nadin ano po gamit nilang diesel doon. I fill up here since walang unioil malapit samin. Thanks!

Ganon din po ang 1 month old gls v ko. Dinala ko sa casa wala naman nagawa may tunog pa din...

euro 3 na lang daw ang sea oil. still better than the big 3

Sa amin kc glsv at. Nun bago labas para ang takaw sa crudo parang 5-6km/l lng city driving. Ganun b talaga? Gamit pala namin turbo diesel.

i found the culprit last night. i thought the rattling sound was coming from the steering wheel or at the back of the gauge. di pala, it is actually from the aircon tube underneath driver side and touching up with i am not exactly sure yet if the alarm sensor. i just moved it the wires on the side and wala na yun rattling sound. i will try to take pictures and check ko rin if what are those wires for which i moved.
