2012 Montero Sport Owners

Calling Montero sport Gurus (Sir Six and sir prince...etc) I bought a reverse cam from the net USd 14.0 and wanted a DIY installation. My problem now is how to route the wires coming from rear door passing the rubber grommet and into the roof. Do you have some info about this sirs, the instruction from the reverse cam only says about the connection of wires. BTW, I have a GLS-V. TIA

Try to use aluminum wire(kung makahanap kayo) na rounded shape yung dulo para less sabit sa grommet.. Dyan lang naman talaga ang mahirap sa part na yan..

Sir, better get an SD card extension cable para hindi na kayo kailangan magbukas ng HU cover everytime you need to access the SD card. I got mine from sir prince777. I also got my reverse camera from him.

Im having second thoughts if the 100k* difference is worth it?

Sir IMHO the difference is worth it. As long as it fits your budget. If you need to wait a little longer, the wait will also be worth it. Both of them are Common Rail Intercooled Turbo Diesels. Essentially the same engine, with the GLS-V having a more technologically advanced Variable Geometry Turbo, hence the additional power. Plus better brakes, transmission, exterior and interior features.

Fuel consumption probably almost the same, especially if you will be using them both in the city.

Just to point out. The GLX is not slow. In fact, it is just about right for me. The engine it uses is what the Montero and Strada uses before the V versions came out.

Walang bang turbo yan glx, eh di ambagal nyan. I thought even the entry level non-VGT is turbo already. If you will buy diesel suvs, a must ang turbo. VGT ok lang khit wala

Done first general cleaning and carwash of black monty, grabe sensitive naman ng black, halata ang hairlines scratches lalo na yung nagkecreate ng white lines although hindi naman sya visible sa biglang tingin, kaso nakakapanibago compared sa bold beige honda namin hindi talaga visible ang scratches not unless masisinagan ng araw..

Any tips how to maintain a black car?

Tip? Never wipe it when it's dusty. Ang pagamit mo s carwash yung sarili mong mga basahan to make sure na bago at malinis. Routinely get wax. Optional pero get one of those additional coatings either from Big Bert's or CS II

Hi mga sirs, been reading this thread for several weeks na. From page 1 til last page. Very good forum. Anyway, last month I bought a second hand MS 2009 GLS SE Gemstone gray ang color. So far I'm very happy with it. Very powerful compared to the 2001 Fieldmaster that I have been using( which I plan to sell na). Nasa 22k lng km reading Nya at Amoy bago pa sa loob. Original owner Kase uses it seldomly bec of too many cars. No black smoke so far and I'm using petro dmax. La kase Lapit na sea oil or unioil. Now I plan to place a aircon filter. Btw question po, in engaging from 2WD to 4WD say going to 4H LNG. Wat is the proper proces? Followed the manual pero blinking LNG yang lights of the front wheels as dashboard. First time user of a 4WD. Tia.

Did the lights stop from blinking after driving it a few meters? Usually, the lights will stop from blinking right after the ms starts moving forward.

May nakita akong MS GLS-V A/T kahapon na nakaparada sa mall pero may headlight washers siya. Ito na ba yung sinasabi nilang 2013 model?
