We are planning of buying the new montero vgt this april or may,and we're from Davao City. gusto namin sa Manila kumuha ng unit kaso di namin alam kung anong pinaka dabest and accomodating na dealer jan....

may be you could try Karasia Davao but the unit will be release in Manila minus the freight where you can use it on traveling by land double purpose break-in and sightseeing tour pa

There was one problem with the car. The Alarm was not set properly.

The BLUE light was on all the time while driving and it was not flashing when car was locked. The Blue light should not be on when driving. It is a distraction. Also it should flash when the car is alarmed. The sub-CASA were no help.

Here is what I did:

Sit in car with key inserted but not turned. Hold pressed the RED button (down on the bottom left side of the dashboard) and then turn the key to ACC and wait for the bleeping. Afer a few seconds the BLUE light will go out and then you can release the red button.

Now when you lock the car with the remote; the BLUE light flashes and the alarm is set. When you unlock the car with remote; the BLUE light goes out completely as it should.

I got 20k discount and free LTO + 3M CS tint (not fitted yet) sa Leyte.
They will give you a better deal if they think you may buy from Luzon. Sa Mindanao, you have choice of different Casas, but you wont be able to avoid the shipping cost of about 25/28k, as it is a real charge.

there really is blue smoke when idle for sometime. kahit hot na yung engine basta nag idle siya for sometime. ok lang kaya ito? gls-v.

We will getting our new Montero tommorow but could anybody please help me? What are the things to check aside from the main problems posted in here (The audio control steering wheel and the blue light from the alarm system) How about that dvd thing? I saw somebody here that when the car is in motion, you cant play movies for safety reasons? and anything else to check beside that? Thx in advance

no problem with my gls-v(audio and alarm), i think the problem they encounter is just the setting. dvd plays in drive. if you will get the vgt, observe if there is blue smoke in the exhaust while idle.

Bro, you better get from Manila kasi laki ng patung ng mga casa sa davao city. Actually, humingi kami ng quote jan layo ng difference siguro nasa 70t pesos ang differnce awas na dun ang shipping cost at airfare mo papuntang manila. Ang kinuha namin ay MS 2.5 GLS-V just this march lang nasa 280K all in cash out na, no more no less. Check this out:
