The rear passenger side power window of my 2007 GLX L200 is not functioning well when going up but is ok when you want it to go down. Is this an electrical or a mechanical problem with the motor itself na? Anybody experienced this already?

Guys & Gals,
Check this out! A column from Phil. Daily Inquirer-Motoring Section (Strada VGTs).
5 reasons the Strada is boosting its category | Inquirer Business
My glx is in the shop, hopefully maayos na nila. I complained of squeaking noise on the clutch when pressed up and down. Ang ginawa ng casa, 2 days kasi kailangan i down ang transmission. They changed the grease on the part of the release bearing retainer. As of now, road test pa daw. Nung pinasok ko, narinig ko yung SA binulong sa supervisor niya na ito daw ang situation sa strada ko, similar problem to the other vehicle na pinasok (inaudible yung type of vehicle, kasi nagbubulong lang), pero ganun din ang gagawin, down transmission.
binaba ang tranny just because nag squeak?![]()
were you able to experience malfunction on the clutch and the transmission itself?
anong klaseng squeak ba yung narinig mo sir? as in super lakas ba?
Sir, squeaking noise siya like those house doors na nagsqueak ang mga door hinges. I sometimes hear those noises on my previous ride, innova. They had to bring down the transmission to access the release bearing (sabi nila). Anyway, I called up the casa, ok na daw. I will pick up the car this 5pm. Walang bayad kasi under warranty. I will get more info kung ano talaga ang nakita nila.
ahh I see...well its good to know na under warranty....hope all goes well with your truck...![]()
lagyan mo ng armor all yung mga gilid bro...kapag ayaw parin umakyat mechanical yan...have it checked nalang...![]()
* Sir mjlu - Oo nga..* S'big_bonsai - +1 po. I'm also thinking about changing to Mobil malapit na rin mag 15k yung sa akin. Calling on S'locoroco baka meron po kayo ma recommend na mura mabilhan? I believe I read before someone posted mura lang daw kuha niya in Manila. Mga BOSB's pa share naman po kung saan mura bumili. TIA![]()
Mobil 1 5w-40 ESP maganda ba yun.? TIA
pwede po bang i-off yung shock sensor pero armed pa din ang alarm? naiirita dad ko sa alarm ng strada namin minsan eh, haha.. TIA
* S'ooba99 - Thank you Sir.
* Big_Bonsai - Yes maganda yun as per reviews. For Diesel Engines lang po yun. O rin po yung 0w-40 ng Mobil, usually they recommend this for colder climates. Pero I think kung dito lang po sa manila ok na yung ESP 5w-40.
* Coolsilver - As per my readings, yes po. The theory behind it is regarding the power to weight ratio, higher power, faster acceleration less rpm, less gas usage so long as everything else is equal. Same lang po apak niyo sa gasolina and weight of vehicle, etc. Also check out the link of the article that S'Vhronx posted. The writer also tackled the fuel consumption there briefly.
* S'Ry_tower - Check niyo po muna kung switch, kung may contact pa or wala. Kung meron pa naman and medo nahihirapan umakyat, check niyo po kung cable or mechanical because sometimes kung cable po minsan pumupulupot yung cable. Now kung mechanical usually bihira magkaproblema more often than not yung motor na po. Sorry can't answer kung mechanical or cable type yung sa strada natin. Di ko pa po siya nabubuksan. Hope this helps.
* S'Vhronx - nice article.
* S'SynysterG - Sir I had the same problem before, medyo sensitive masyado. I would suggest to tone down the sensitivity instead of turning it off completely. If you live near araneta, punta na lang po kayo sa Winterpine, sandali lang nila adjust yung sensitivity nun. If not paschedule niyo po sa casa. If you cannot wait, DIY niyo na lang, just take out the lower panels sa ilalim ng steering wheel and just behind the wires may switch po doon. There's a small knob which you can turn clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the sensitivity. To test it, close doors then try to hit the car or tires kung mag alarm pa siya. Just don't hit it too hard at baka naman magkadent po strada niyo. Good luck.
*altec - sir nasabi niyo na innova ang dati niyong ride. bakit naman ang strada ang naisip niyo ipalit? how does the two compare in terms of performance, maintenance and fuel consumption? I plan to buy a car and I'm a bit torn between the Innova d4d and the GLX strada. Family man ako so ok din ang innova dahil madami pwede sumakay pero pogi ang strada and rugged.

Before the innova, I had a 1997 fuego. mahilig talaga ako sa pickup. The Strada ride vs the Innova is not that different. Sa tingin ko pa nga mas malambot pa ang ride ng Strada kaysa Innova. Plus I got my 2009 glx in the 1st quarter of 2010 for less than 900K, it was one of the last few units being sold, and I got it through Xave dito rin sa tsikot, so it was a very good deal, considering that the Innova was hitting 1M already then. Kinabitan ko lang ng canvass type carryboy cover (I posted a pic of my ride here at the strada thread long long ago). On a few occasions kasi, nagkakarga ako ng styrobox which if you install those accordion type, sasayad. In terms of engine power, ang layo ng difference. And believe it or not, mas nakakapagod magdrive sa innova kaysa sa strada. Change oil pms mas mahal ang strada, coz it needs more engine oil than the innova. In terms of fuel economy, pareho lang sila, 2.5 GLX 4x2 vs d4d innova E. Just in case you will need to change tires, mas mahal ang gulong ng strada, but that's obvious because of the sheer size difference. In terms of durability? Pareho lang sila na may claim ako under warranty. Other than that, typical toyota and mitsubishi, durable (huwag na natin pagusapan ang choking problem ng innova, because that is not that prevalent in the newer models).
By the way, yung innova ko dati is 2005 model, yung 1st year na lumabas ang innova.
Now, which one is for you? Depends. Kung kailangan mo talaga yung 3rd seat/row option, Strada is not for you. Kung 2 rows lang pwede na, you may want to consider the Strada over the Innova. Plus with all the flooding that is becoming notoriously common, every centimeter of extra ground clearance is golden.
^ Ok si sir altec ah. Nai-compare ang orange sa apple ng maayos. Nice comparo, bro.
