Ah i see. how much will this cost? I was thinking of getting a strada. I have a 2005 d4d hilux, so far wala pa problem with the fuel system. though other owners experience problems with their d4ds. maselan talaga commonrail.

It costs about 5-7 thousand, I think. But if it needs to be replaced during the warranty period of 3 years, it's free.

After 1 year of reading I finally have my Strada. This thread is very helpful! I thought once I get my Strada, I can sleep well because I will not read anymore, but now every single detail of my ride I tend to read first. Right now I can't sleep because, I can't decide what mods I'm going to buy. Gastos..! Grabe. hehe.

Just heard from the news awhile ago that a law has already been passed against vehicles using HID lamps, xenon, white lamps and the like. 100k fine for the sellers and 10k for motorists using such headlights. I was actually planning to purchase one but when I heard about the news, I would probably be contented with my OEM headlights.

After having read through the issues on SCV and the pre-emptive solutions calling for fuel filter installation and regular replacements, don't forget to have the fuel tank drained and cleaned every time you have your SCV valve and fuel filters replaced. Adding in-line filters are great but without a clean fuel tank, the problem will still be there. A good mechanic suggested that the fuel tank be drained and cleaned at least once a year. Hope this fills the gap in pre-emptive solutions.
