Update ko lang din all strada owners who wants to change their head units to touch screen multimedia with gps, spoke to one of the owners of Carryboy two weeks ago, maglalabas na daw sila ng ganito. Papago yung exclusive nila. Looks very promising when I was playing with their demo unit. They'll also be carrying yung pang palit ng front panels natin for the 2din head units. I would suggest checking it out kasi price wise it looks very competitive rin, less than 30k lang branded na. S'TP sana extended rin yung discounts ng club natin for their new head units.

sir RTS, just like to ask again about the check engine light, yesterday nawala na yun ilaw ng check engine ko, tinawag ko sa carworld sabi ng SA wla daw sila makikita pag wala naka ilaw, so wait na lang daw ulit lumabas. Sir RTS, Does it happen to your strada also?

Sir, I experienced check engine light and then it went off..but as one of the mechanics told me, once nag check engine light, its imprinted na sa memory ng cpu. so even if you go there without the warning light on, makikita na nila yung code. based yan sa experience ko dati. eversince nag palit scv, hindi na nag ilaw ang Strada ko. and that was last year yata.

in the end, I will still be a Strada owner ;)

Yes it happened three times na, first i was a little panicky baka lumala, the 2nd time I insist to the casa to replace the SCV dahil sa experience ko na I was at the point of overtaking other vessel when I lost the power, so they change na dapat palitan, the third warning light was recent lang but mga two weeks ko pang ginamit bago ko pina check, this time wala na ako warranty so I arrange home service na lang by mits guy. Nakita ko talaga ang dumi ( carbon deposit wet & dry). All the system was cleaned, sa ngayon ok & I dont get panicky anymore

I upgraded my suspension recently Bilsteins front Ranchos adjustables rear and want to change narin the rear shackles for a additional lift and a little improvement pa in the ride. I also took out one leaf spring since researched it improves the ride in the rear a little but lost a little height. Now the rear height is a little lower and is same height in the front.

I just encountered a problem with my 2008 strada GL. naexperience nyo na ba un nakatigil un strada nyo pero naka-on naman un engine, then when you steer to either directions, merong rubbing sound? meron na nito un strada ko way before pero ngayon parang lumala un ingay. I checked the steering fluid, nasa max pa naman so apparently wala namang tagas.

also, kelan dapat mgpalit ng mga ito:
1. air filter
2. fuel filter
3. brake fluid
4. power steering fluid
5. differential fluid

help! haha

not all cars are the same, ive gone thru plenty and i deal with engines and machineries on a daily basis, but i never forget to read the manuals and other documents included when i receive a new piece of machinery.. better to be educated than sorry

it's something i asked din before dito sa forums
i even messaged a fellow bosb back then kasi naging issue niya din yon.

what do you mean po with lumala?
as in lumakas lang yung tunog or does it interfere with normal operations na?

kung may underlying problem or its just an annoying sound, i dont know and im quite interested to know pa din.
regarding steering columns (those tunog problems), ive read dito na itry muna ipalubricate or pahigpitan.
that's just what i did last on my last pms, nawala nung umpisa yung 'sheesh sound'.
pero parang bumalik na ulit (though di <pa> ganon kalakas).

so baka you can ask for it to be lubricated din.
and if that fails, ihabol pa sa warranty.

haha sorry its just that im not really a fan of reading them thick manuals.

anyway i had my car checked sa diamond motors qave this morning. Nung una, tinignan muna nila un hard rubber at the base of the steering column, minsan kasi nawawala daw ito sa alignment kapag nababanga un kotse. And if ever nawala sa alignment, madali lang daw irealign un. unfortunately, hindi pala un rubber un problema. they said that i will need to replace the whole steering column.

Sabi nung advisor, there have been some strada and montero owners who complained about the same problem as mine and covered daw un ng warranty. prob is, my car's 3 yr warranty expired last march so now i have to shoulder the repairs worth around 15k. the consequences of procrastination nga haha i guess mgtatanong tanong muna ko sa iba kung mgkano.

However, the advisor told me that I dont really need to have it repaired. it wont affect any of the other parts of the car and it wont make the car unsafe to drive. un nga lang annoying tlga un ingay.

Tanong ko lang, saan exactly mo naririnig yung tunog? Coming from the steering ba mismo? Or parang nasa loob/ilalim pa? Tumutunog lang ba kapag nakatigil ka then steering left to right, or kahit tumatakbo yung sasakyan while driving? Curious lang.

Tama po yung SA. We had a discussion here before where some units had problems with the steering column and they were either re-tightened or replaced covered by warranty. Baka doon po sa batch na nakuha niyo kasama yung unit niyo Sir.

With regards to your questions when to change those things, kung tinatamad po kayo basahin because the manual is thick, like me, so long as you do your regular PMS sa casa they'll change that po automatically basta if it falls on that particular mileage. We do hope maayos na po yung problems ng Strada niyo.

* S'Av80r5 - Came from Carryboy yesterday, dami ako nakita bago GLX-V. Spoke with some of the owners and lakas daw talaga ng bagong V. Also promoted our club and met a member. S'Teddy sana maayos na ride niyo.
Anyway, yung 2din gps HD touchscreen ng Papago will come out by next month pa daw. They'll inform me kung meron na. Played with their demo unit again and kakaaliw pa their 3D graphic simulation ng routes. For the meantime konti pa lang yung 3D buildings but as they update daw, madadagdagan din.

For those looking for a new bumper, I also saw a new steel front bumper rin for our rides, bagong display lang nila. Ganda rin and mukhang puwede pang off road na with a provision that looks like for mounting front winches na rin. Palit daw buong front bumper as per their sales. Sorry lang po and forgot to take a picture of it.Too busy talking to the other owners and promoting our club kasi.
