My new Lancer EX GLS was just delivered yesterday.

My only complaint so far ... the suspension seems kinda tall (big gap between the tires and the fenders).

The 2010 Lancer EX GLS has new styled 16 inch alloy wheels which looks similar to the 18 inch wheels of the GT/GTA. Previously, the GLS had five spoke design 16" wheels.

Anyone has a lead where I can find a set of original GT/GTA 18 inch wheels for a fair price? Or maybe someone here is selling... kindly send me a PM.

    -----------------------

    EDIT/UPDATE:

I was able to purchase a set of GTA wheels already.

    Thanks for all who responded.

Kinda difficult without really looking for it.

-MX only has drums at the rear / GLS have 4-wheel disc brakes
-MX have audio controls on the steering wheel.
    -MX have the paddle shifts.
-MX have no bumper mounted foglight.

more or less 6k trade in price niyan kay Roadstar * 1.5k per rim&tire
I suggest trade in mo na lang sa Evangelista yan baka umabot pa ng 8k or 10k yan dun.

    Add ko lang ito:
    - MX has Adaptive Front Lighting
    - MX has CD changer; GLS has single-CD
    - MX has tweeters (6 speakers total); GLS has only 4 speakers
    - MX has leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift lever and handbrake; GLS has urethane
    - MX has coat hanger (haha, pati ito sinali ko pa)
    - MX has side-protector moulding
    - MX has a different tail-pipe finisher (o pareho na rin ngayon sa CKD?)
    - MX has automatic climate control

Eto naman subtraction sa list: MX does have foglights! :D

So it's a whole lot of difference, for not that much price premium (at the time I bought mine), which is why it was a no-brainer choice for me.

But nevertheless, given that the MX is not available at the moment, the GLS is a great car regardless.

Unless you don't want a manual, GT is better in every way, IMHO. Also, I wouldn't say that MX has better interior than GT, unless you were referring to the paddle shifter's "cool" factor. GT has better seats.

Kung di lang dahil sa convenience ng paddle-shifted CVT, I would've chosen the GT over the MX.

Sad thing is that both are not available right now, at least that's what the Mitsu Phils website is saying.

Interesting. I guess the sales of Lancer EX GT isn't that well for Mitsubishi to remove it from their current model line up for 2010.

For me, I got the Lancer EX GLS because it was the more practical car model for my requirements. Although I love driving a manual tranny car, this newly purchased car will have to do more than just be my weekend plaything (as was the purpose of the Sentra 2.0L I sold off recently).

My brother tells me I should have spent the 200K more for the GT-A instead of the GLS. Anyway, I am happy with my GLS (except for the ten spoke 16 inch wheels).

I've been reading in the forums that the MX is coming back later this year. It was their best-selling variant last year, after they raised the price of the GT-A from around 1.1M to almost 1.3M. But unless the MX will sell more than 1M, or GLS will have a significant price drop, the MX will (again) kill the sales of the GLS. Ang labo ng Mitsu Philippines.

Mx kasi same transmission as GTA, so if want a cheaper lancer with AT, paddle shifts but dont need the gwapo looks, its the MX. Manual na foggi yung GT. Tapos meron din manual na low end..its up to you.

I haven't mounted the wheels yet so you have to be patient.

As for the lowering, no plans to lower it, so it's going to be stock ride height.
