Mukhang matagal ko pa mauupgrade into HID then if tatlo kelangan. Di ata kasya 5 thousand dun.

Anyway, fixed my Facebook page. Set it to 'everyone'... Weird, na set ko na siya ng ganun before. Will provide direct links later, banned sa work ang FB.

BTW guys kindly explain to me this "exhaust" thing. After wheels I'm planning on getting a nice exhaust as suggested in here. Ano ba magiging improvement nun and how much would it cost?

Hey.. Proud owner of a 2010 model. Been using the car for 4 days palang, and been driving again after a year of hiatus. Happy with the car, especially with the unique look. Some people's heads are turned with the car too, kasi siguro kakaiba sa tingin nila. People are so used to Camry's and Vios's here.

Can't comment on the poke and power of the car yet. Just breaking it in. Hopefully will be able to pitch more in the coming weeks!

Another observation: yung gas indicator niya parang hindi masyado bumababa. Matipid ba sa gas to? When I first had it full-tanked, it took a while before the bar went down. Kaya nag tataka ako since I drove it from gas station, to Filinvest, back to Laguna, and then to Sucat for work, then to Villamor Air base into SLEX exit. Dun palang bumaba yung gas indicator (and I pressed INFO pa to see the other info offered on the digital hud). Ngayon as I observed parang hindi masyado bumababa pa yung digital gas indicator. Sana hindi siya faulty, pwede naman siguro papalit since 4 days palang kung faulty siya.

i understand the feeling bro...hehehehe...its not faulty...maybe ur driving her slow...under 80?and i bet she is MT..mine at first well she was really thirsty...CVT kasi eh..pero after the first service{1k km} she was ok...i average 12 k/L...and bro...one suggestion...let her muscle flex a bit..she's born to run bro...if u have chance ...top it till 100kph...but refrain from revving too much...enjoy the new ride...take care:car::car::drive1::drive1::drive1:

i saw ur ride in facebook icenine...nice color is that wicked white....?gls..?may big difference pala ang gls sa pinas compare d2..kasi yung sa akin na gls ay sunroof na...2 airbags..abs anti locking..FAST entry..meaning u dont need a key anymore...and most of all..RALLIART BODY KIT NA..yung manual ba ay 6 speed narin?at saka yung air conditioning iba...mine is auto cool already...kaunti lang ang difference ng gt namely disc brake sa likod grille sa harap paddle shift..f1 style shifting..and sound system but the big difference is the price...almost 2ookpesos..

Anyway... Regarding the color. I was slated to get the RED one but me and my brother had a deal that we wouldn't pick the same color. Black is out of the question for me because my old Altis was Black. Grey is also not because our old Corolla was colored Grey. It was just a matter between White or Red. My brother agreed to just go white with his Vios S but his order was already shoe-in. Too late to cancel daw kasi galing pang Thailand. So siya na nag Red, ako nalang nag White.

Union Motors yung ka deal namin, but we personally know the owner since malapit lang sila sa bahay namin and friend na talaga. Got the car for 960k. 50% downpayment, 2 years to pay. Yung sa brother ko walang problema, we traded in our Altis and Revo konti nalang dinagdag for his Vios.

Pansin ko lang mga minor details na hinahanap ko sa Mitsu Lancer na nadisappoint ako. First yung ilaw nga sa passenger and driver side, yung sa gitna lang talaga ang meron. Secondly yung bright mode. Sa Toyota kasi pag pinull mo mag bribright or pag pinush mo naman naka stay-bright mode. Sa Lancer wala... Pag pinull mo siya mag bribright mode siya. Pag pinull mo ulit mag totoggle off. Kumbaga mahirap mag "blink". (Hindi kasi ako honker) I love that you can open the hood via the remote though!

(Konting segue, ano ba major and minor differences ng Toyota Cars sa Mitsu Cars?)

Anyway those are small gripes lang. Love the car. Saw a GTA na White malapit sa work ko, ganda talaga. Na insipire ako mag 18" na agad, after breaking this car in for maybe a week upgrade na ako. Siya nga pala, as per advice of my dad brinebreak ko yung car with the 80 rule. Sometimes I go over 80 pero most of the time under or 80 lang talaga.
sa strada ko rin ganito, ang ginagawa ko is pinupull ko siya ng onte, as in onte lang. soft touch.

Watch out for those killer potholes on EDSA... those square-edged drain covers at the C5-Kalayaan U-turn overpass... or those sharp-edged pits on Quirino Avenue... It's worse when it rains, because you won't see them coming...

Another issue is tires. The bigger your wheels, the more expensive the rubber. You have to factor that into your buying decision when getting the mags (50k is more than enough for 17" mags and rubber if you're getting ROTA and regular sports tires... it won't be enough for 18" mags and the same tires in the bigger size).

That said: 18" wheels look fantastic on the Lancer. They should. They cost an arm and a leg.
I think the Lancer EX GT-A has 18" rims, if I'm not mistaken.

EDIT: Oops, sorry I think this has been pointed out in a previous post already.

Hmmm... how is a Civic FD 2.0 any better than a Lancer EX 2.0 in terms of performance? The Civic accelerates slower than the EX, and handles a bit poorer... so in net effect, it will not go any faster than the Lancer on a one-on-one race.

I know... I was corrected a few pages ago already. Been over a year since I last drove the GT-A, and my memory is faulty on specs...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

It's often parked in front of our office with the driver waiting for his girlfriend, with "basag" separates blaring Kanye West music, and I shudder to think of a Lancer EX ending up with the same fate as that poor CB.
+1. Ang dami kong nakikitang ganito... very sporty looking, pero pag umandar na, pagong pala.

Congrats on your new Lancer EX!

Don't hold back too much... start enjoying your EX now. As long as you watch out for those revs to not exceed around 3500rpm, pwede mo nang pabilisin yan. Yung revs naman ang nagma-matter (alalay muna sa accelerator), hindi yung top speed mo. Maganda nga ma-break-in mo na tuloy yung mechanical parts apart from the engine... by going moderately fast during break-in period. Wag naman harurot, hehe.

Trick is don't stay on the same speed most of the time. Varying the speed throughout the break-in period helps a lot. Marami nang nagsabi sa akin nyan.

Also, about the fuel meter, ganun talaga matagal sya bumaba, for 2 reasons: (1) hindi fine-grain ang precision nung meter na yan, and (2) malaki ang gas tank ng Lancer EX (around 60 Liters cap) kaya mas matagal maubos.

Btw, there's already a very long thread about the Lancer EX here: http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29104

BTW naisama sa sa list ng yahoo ang lancer natin as budget cars that are money pits

Guys, kakakalikot ko nung mga chime, chime alarm alarm set up I think I did something sa Lancer ko.

Whenever I lock the doors, may RED na nag bliblink sa gitna. Parang security. I tried getting in the car and then locking it with the remote, meron nga. Nag bliblink and may tunog.

Yun nga lang, kusang nag-aaccelerate (the recalled US version, that is). :D

Sya nga pala mga sir... if someone here is selling (or knows someone who does) his stock GT or GT-A 18" rims, let me know. Balak kong i-upgrade to bigger rims yung sa MX ko... but I would prefer to use stock parts for now, so ayun stock 18" ang hanap ko. :D

Read the article. Doesn't even say why these cars are moneypits.

If you follow the tags/links, ang taas naman ng rating ng lancer.

Not convinced. Woulda gotten a lancer myself it not for the abnormally high price of the GT back then.

Don't trust everything you read ;)

What mitsubishi philippines needs to do is to undercut their rivals while offering same, if not better features for the same amount of money. I'm hoping that the philippine-assembled lancer will be priced more competitively (pricing it similar with the civic/corolla will not see it gain in terms of marketshare) :/

Actually in my case(MX buyer more than a year ago, bago tumaas) wala kong problema sa pricing at features. Parang best buy siya nung time na yun. Bonus nalang yung look at rarity Iniisip ko nalang kung sing tibay ng sikat, so far after 15 mos and 12tkm drives like new parin.

Tapos biglang nagtaas, dun ata maraming nagreklamo.
