    Mda, thanks for the info.. I'll stay away from Concept Ones if that's the case. Mag ROTA na nga lang ako then. Will drop by Banawe (spel) sometime this week to check on the shops. I heard it's great over there.

    Kung wala man, now that the EX is locally assembled, baka pwede na rin magpakabit nun sa casa.
    make an offer sir, I still have my GT-A rims with me. I might consider selling it then. BTW, wala na yung tires sir.

    I'd stay away from Concept One myself, too heavy! (in the pocket & in actual weight)

    check => www.rotawheels.com

    18's go for as low as 21k depending on the design, I can hook you up with a ROTA supplier myself.

    Since you're from Parañaque, why not go to Evangelista instead? I know a shop there that gives great deals. Let me know if you're interested, I can point you to the right direction.

    Since the GT-A came with a stock HID, I didn't bother changing the color as it would affect visibility (on my part). Stock kelvin temperature is 4300k.

    getting the bluish hue is at least 8000k
    white hue 6000k

    what I did was, change the park light bulb to LED Super whites and changed the bulb of my foglamps to HID 6000k.

    There are cheap HID's out there that could go as low as 2.5k.

    Hope to help sir!

    Sir, mind posting the directions if I'd be coming from EDSA/Ortigas intersection?

    Plus the good shops that sell rotas cheap na rin (and the shops to generally avoid).

    Ako yung interested hehehe.

    *Nautilus:

    I've been browsing the ROTA link you posted... Sorry I'm such a newbie, but what are the specs that would make a specific model compatible with the Lancer EX?

    Kapag 19" ata, masyadong harsh ride na sa EX? Saka I'm wondering how much (for 4 wheels na) ang entry level sa mga 19", for example ng ROTA? How about the 18", malayong mas mura kaya?

    Dunno kung baguhan lang sa ganito, magkano ang usual na total budget dapat, at minimum, including the tires na.

    Thanks!

    Nautilus,

    Do point me too to the right direction. Hook me up with ROTA Suppliers... My understanding is since limited pa ang info ko, ang ROTA Mags lang diba? Walang wheels?

    widest rim you can use for the EX is 8.5 (ideally an 18x8.5 size; pwede din naman 19 but i would not recommend it)
    offset should be from +44 to +48
    tire size usually 235/40/18

    Coming from Edsa, Ortigas while going south, after Magallanes Flyover, turn right * Evangelista (McDonalds & Jolibee landmarks) While in Evangelista look for Petron Gas Station (assuming you came from Edsa) it's on your left side. Then you will see WHEELHAUS look for Jo and mention my name "Macky" that I referred you.

    All 2008 & up models
    Lug pattern is 5x114.3
    Lug nut thread/pitch - 12 x 1.5
    Offset is 46mm.
    Center hub is 67mm.

    GT-A & GT
    Stock tire size is 215/45/18
    Stock tire is Advan Sport (forgot the model)
    Wheel is 18x7

    Weight of stock wheel/tire - 48 lbs.
    Weight of stock wheel - 23 lbs.

    MX, GLS & GLX
    Stock tire size is 205/60/16
    Wheel is 16x6.5

    this being said, our lug pattern is 5x114.3, thus 4x100 lug patterns won't fit ours.

    lowest offset for our EX is * +40
    highest offset for our EX is * +48

    19's would definitely fit (as I use 19's for my EX as well) yes it would be harsh, specially those road bumps, potholes, etc, you would definitely feel them. BUT with the right aftermarket suspension, you could definitely lessen the harshness of using 19's (what I did was order myself an aftermarket adjustable height & damping coilover to give my car a lower look without compensating for comfort)

    to everyone inquiring about ROTA prices

    18's = Php 25k - 33k
    17's = Php 18k - 23k
    19's no idea about rota price
    VOLK Racing = 100k+++
    Work Emotion = 100k+++
    and many others

    a set of 18's assuming * 25k +
    cheapest tires * 18's (nankang) 5.5k each

    ready yourself for about 45-50k with tires budget

    Question/survey lang po: Yung mga lumalabas na bagong Lancer EX ngayon, meron na bang Auto-Up yung driver window? Sa akin kasi Auto-Down lang, medyo hindi ko lang ma-justify sa sarili ko bakit ganu't di pa nila nagawang Auto-Up... ganun ba kahirap gawin yun? Hehe.

    Regarding sa sound ng EX, I like it. Nothing horrendous or unpleasant, in fact I think it's more of a sporty-type.

    Can't wait to upgrade my wheels and other mods. What price do you guys think would the stock 16 on the EX pitch? I'm planning just to trade them in for 18's in Roadstar Alabang.

    Yung EX nyo ba ay maingay ang makina around 2K - 3K rpm? Kasi according to reviews, it's like that, in fact with polarizing opinions (sabi nung iba, it sounds like a cow -- horrendous daw... sabi naman ng iba, it has a nice sporty exhaust sound esp compared to other sedans in its class).

    Napapansin ko yung loud exhaust sound in that rpm range, dun sa unit ko. Pero there are other owners na natanong ko, regular lang daw yung tunog nung sa kanila, hindi malakas. So ano ba talaga ang normal sa EX?

    I remember nung break-in period pa lang, hindi ko naririnig yung exhaust note masyado... ngayong fully conditioned na yung makina after near 10K kms, ayun aggressive na yung tunog kapag naka paddle-shifted mode.

    Kayo?
    maingay po talaga sa acceleration ang CVT,mine is 2008 lancer ex here in kuwait..normaly above 60kph ganda na.
