Congrats on your new Lancer EVO-XRheinhardt. What model and color did you get... MX, GT or GTA?

The person who told you you got the 4th lancer EX in the country might be pulling your leg though. Anyway, just enjoy the car!

My car has been with me for two weeks already. 600 kms on the odometer na. Ok naman so far pero mejo malakas sa gas compared to my Mazda 3 2.0 which consumes 9Kms/L. My first full tank on the GTA averaged 7.5Kms/L.

On its 2nd night with me ayaw mag start nung car. When I checked the battery terminals, the negative battery terminal was so loose that the whole thing was not on the battery itself. Nasa may ibaba na ng battery. I just reattached it and was on my way home. Reported this to my dealer though para icheck nila yung mga i-release nilang mga units.

Tried removing the mouldings on the door last night. Di lang sya naka adhesive. May butas sya so I reattached it.

mga sir...newbie to this forum.medyo may katagalan na ang EX GT cvt ko,had her last year december now done 18k kms.sarap i-drive dito abu dhabi.maxed so far was 200kph at meron pa siyang ibibigay kaso had to slow down for it's getting too dangerous and had to keep an eye for speed cams.

Hi,bago lang din ako dito. My parents are planning to buy me a car as a graduation gift. Gusto ko talaga ung 2008 EX mitsubishi lancer pero nag offer ang tatay ko na baka gusto ko ng CR-V kasi konti lang daw ang difference sa price. Sa tingin nyo hindi naman ba ako ma didisappoint pag lancer pa rin pinili ko? Gusto ko kasi talaga lancer eh, hehe. Thanks in advance sa opinion nyo..

Hi guys, nakuha ko na rin finally yung GTA ko kanina from Mitsu Marcos Highway. Parang monthsary na rin namin, kasi July 27 ko kinuha, July 28 nabangga ng neighbor namin, tapos after over 3 weeks na paghintay sa replacement parts, Aug.27 natapos yung repairs. Sa sobrang tuwa ko, nakalimutan kong bayaran yung plate number cover na kinuha ko sa kanila, kaya babalikan ko na lang sila para bayaran this week.

They replaced the damaged bumper, kaso medyo halata yung difference ng paint app sa gabi, iba yung tama ng ilaw, and I noticed some bubbles on the new bumper. Kaya bang ma-minimize yung bubbles kung ipapa-buff ko sa Big Berts yung paint?

I suggest you check out the dealerships to see both vehicles up close. Maganda naman pareho, pero siyempre mas pogi yung Lancer, hands-down. If you want an SUV, check out the Outlander, same platform as the new Lancer, same dashboard, pero more spacious and it even has a gentler ride. Pogi rin kesa sa CRV.

sir fras * Bakit hindi mo ibalik sa casa and told to them your complaint. kaya nga sa casa kahit mahal because of the availability of parts and specially the paint.. if you will try to buff it the bubbles im sure mabakbak yung paint nyan.. papangit lang lalo..

Oo nga, ipapa-check ko later. Hindi ko kasi napansin when I got it, napansin ko lang when I got home from the casa.

that is not good Sir Fras . First thing you do is go back to your dealer and complain of those bubbles and point to them the difference sa original na paint. You absolutely have all the rights to complain.

Thanks for the replies guys. Ibabalik ko siya talaga sthis week, kasi aside from the paint bubbles, mukhang lumuwang yung pagkakabit nila nung bumper, medyo kita ko na yung ilalim ng headlamps at yung pinagkakabitan ng bumper sa front panel. Badtrip talaga yung pagkaka-bangga sa kotse ko, parang nahirapan silang ibalik sa dati kasi hindi pa sila masyado sanay mag-ayos ng 08 Lancer, tsk.

Hehe, fault ko rin, after 1 month kasi, naging super-excited akong ilabas na yung car after the repairs were done, kaya hindi ko talaga na-inspect ng todo. Sa sobrang excited ko nga, I forgot to pay for the plate number covers na pinakabit ko. Hindi kasi halata yung defects sa loob ng casa, nung nilabas ko na sa araw, hayun, dun na naglabasan lahat, pati bubbles ng tint. ;)

sinoli namin ni mommy sa dealer and 1 week pa daw mapapalitan,,,

hi i've been a regular reader of all the threads here for more than a year but i rarely post. i'm a lancer fan, i still have a 95 lancer el "itlog" and used to own a gsr "box type."

mr. EVO-XRheinhardt, congrats sa new ride mo. i have the same question as mr. magister. me touchscreen ba iyong locally-sold units? i saw the lancer display at the recently-concluded car show sa wtc and parang wala akong napansin na touchscreen. instead andun yung stereo na integrated sa dash, if i remember correctly.

also, parang right hand drive sir yung auto mo o baligtad lang pagkakapost ng pic.

anyway, regards to the new lancer owners.

i recall taking pics nga pala nung car show specifically nung lancer gt-a interior. i understand this is the top of the line model. no touchscreen. i think the touchscreen is an option in other markets such as the US, and it includes a gps navi system and a hard disk for storing map data and mp3s.

this is from the display unit sa car show. hindi sa akin itong kotse, though i wish it was mine.
