I'm quite sure service is free for first 1000km (and 5000km yata?) kahit saang dealer. I think siningil ka dahil nag-oil change. So that 3800+ would probably be the cost of 4 liters of synthetic oil pati oil filter.

Sabi kasi sa akin ng Citimotors, synthetic oil na yung nakalagay dun out of the factory. Pero sa mga Japan units lang, which the Lancer EX is. Tinutulad ata nila sa mga units na galing Thailand, which really need oil change at the first 1000km checkup.

Mahal kasi for me ang GT-A, tapos ang GLS na next option down was less than 100K difference, but the MX had much more features. I agree with you that the 938K for the GLS vs. 990K for MX makes the GLS an unattractive option, but if you look at it from another perspective... the price for GLS looks just fair now considering na 1.375M na ngayon ang GT-A, which is now the only step up for automatic (CVT).

They never increased the price of the MX, but that was because there was no GLS to fill that all important 900K-1M price range. Ngayong meron nang GLS, bakit kaya hindi na lang nila increase yung MX price kung kailangan (medyo lugi na daw Mitsu sa MX, sabi ng dealer, ewan kung totoo), instead of phasing it out. Sa price hike to 1.1M, for example, it can well compete still with a Civic 2.0L.

IMO, this makes the Lancer EX less of an attractive alternative to the competing Civic (price-wise lang ha).
    Yes, phased out na talaga.

I was thinking, the main reason they phased MX out is because it is already killing the GT-A model. At Php1.375M, it is Php385,000 more expensive than MX. For what? The 18" rims, sound set-up, spoiler and rain sensor? Sans the rain sensor, I can get all of those extras for <=200,000 (with a waaay better sound set-up)! And yep, this was confirmed by a Citimotors SA during our visit last Saturday. Natatakot pa nung una yung mother ko. Iniisip niya na something is wrong with the MX line kaya inalis.

I never liked the Civic, always a douchebag/ricer car for me. But I may become one of those douchebags driving one if I am really not able to see any sense in buying GLS over Civic.

*Php938K, medyo olats ata sa GLS. Any other opinion?
hmmmmmmm... may i suggest that you search in other dealers- both north and south of Manila... you might be able to catch one of them in their inventory...

Pamahal ang Lancer EX? unfortunately yes... it is even more expensive than the Grandis MPV!!! but in fairness with the Civic 2.0 A-L i heard na sold out na ito.

i think the variant you were refering to was the Civic 1.8S 5A/T- to think that they will have a facelift soon, im sure the price will balloon past the Lancer EX GLS. haiz...

*bumbellebee - i think Chrionic might be able to answer your question po... i will tell him about your query.

I've been to Citimotors Alabang and Makati; an insider info from Diamond motors also told me the same thing.

I am trying my best to pull some strings. I am hoping an officemate/highschool classmate whose dad works as a consultant in Diamond will help me find one (though nung huling tanong, wala na daw talaga).

    *oliver, bumbellebee, new-driver,

Wala dapat change oil at 1000km. Change oil will only happen at 5000km. One thing common though is that it seems you all did your 1st 1000km PMS at Diamond Motors. It might be their policy for 1000km oil change. Sayang yung oil na galing Japan Factory. Fully synthetic. When I had oil change at 5000km, kinuha pa nga ng technician to use for another vehicle.

Hehe.

I'm not connected with Citimotors (hehe) pero bakit para atang di alam ng dealer mo ang ginagawa nila. Bakit yung EX ko, naka-set sa 5000 (5000+ actually kasi it's exactly 4000 + exact mileage upon first service).

And that's apart from the fact na sinasayang nila ang synthetic oil na galing Japan.... haaaay.

    hi to all,

i will be on a business trip for 2 to 4 weeks. okay lang ba na iwan ko na lang yung ex ko sa garag for the whole duration?

as for the aircon, not sure kung ano mangyayari, baka ma-stuck up yan or something pag hindi ginamit ng ganun katagal.

of course, all units must go to the Cainta Plant first for PDI before its distribution to the dealers...

May i suggest that you expand your search beyond Manila-
    South: SFM and Amcar,
    North: Carworld and Freeway.

Wala ka mautusan to start the car and warm it up once a week? Pwede siguro tanggalin mo positive batt terminal para di ma-discharge.
