ah gets ko na sinasabi mo. it's not really a deal breaker for me. when you have a discharged battery, kung manual tranny, pwede nga tulak. push start kung baga. for ATs, jump starting is the alternative. so importante na may jumper cables na dala esp kung medyo luma na battery.

the issue can be prevented via proper battery maintenance or timely battery replacement. ako, i usually replace a car battery a month or two after the warranty has expired (given that most warranties range from 18 to 24 months).

so, not true that cars with ATs cannot be used on long drives. medyo misinformed lang yung nagsabi sa yo niyan.

    tnx
    Sir,

Regular preventive maintainance lang para magtagal ang kahit anong kotse. Pwedeng pwede ang matic sa long trip. Transmission is a matter of preference.

I really don't know. Better way to thank others is by asking more questions. The more you ask, the more everyone knows. I hope you get the lancer and enjoy it as much as we do.

Pwede din kahit nasa D at tumatakbo, kalabitin mo lang yung paddle shifts, automatically mag papaddle shift mode na yan.

Sir pag balik mo sya from manual mode to D mode di kana nag o off? di ba nakalagay sa manual press up * least 2 sec. then stop...(correct me if im wrong)

So pwede pala na maski naka D mode ka mag paddle shift?
di ba masira kaya ang tranny natin?
    TIA

as of now, im still waiting for an official word from MMPC if our units are affected by this recall. true- that our Lancer EXs from Japan- but our version (General Export) is different from that of other markets- like the US/Australia/Europe so some specs and equipment may vary.

heres hoping we are not affected.

Sir check ko uli sa manual para sure, pero nabasa ko sa manual kahit nasa D kalabitin mo lang paddle ok na(manual mode na), then if you wish to go back sa AT mode, lagay mo lang sa manual gate then balik sa D.

indeed you can engage the manual mode by clicking on the left paddle shifter.

if you want to go to auto mode again, just click on the right paddle shifter for mga 2 seconds. no need to touch the stick shifter.

Sa States ata yan link, san ba assembled yung mga units from the States? Japan or dun sa kanila? Kung sa kanila malaki chance na di tayo affected kasi yung units natin CBU from Japan...I hope so

Question po about driver-side power window on the Lancer EX...

My unit (2009 MX) has auto-down, but apparently there is no auto-up. Is this normal for this model? It's a bit of a hassle especially on toll gates.

I'm not sure how much this question has been covered in this loooong thread already, but relevant messages that I saw was dated back when the Lancer EX was still introductory so things might have changed since.

    I would appreciate your replies.

Lancers bound for the US market are also made in Japan- just like our units for the Philippines. I think that would be their plant either in Okazaki (Nagoya) or Mizushima. Units assembled for the US and the Philippines may look the same BUT may have different components- considering that our road as well as weather conditions are very different.

Until now, no official word yet from MMPC.

*gwapster- i know how you feel about that- even i am annoyed that my Space Wagon has no auto-up. Yes, all Lancer EX models (AFAIK) has no auto-up function and I don't know why. Interestingly, the Outlander has all 4 windows with auto-up and auto-down with anti-trap feature. i asked WHY from dealers Motorplaza and Diamond and MMPC but they havent given me a clear-cut answer until now...

*mogmog: hehe cvt din po try ko rin later yung trick nila with paddle shifters.

*all: 2nd full tank ko na po ng v-power and parang mas smooth and improved yung accelation ng ex natin compared to blaze, anybody have any other experience?

na try ko na rin yung caltex e10 pero parang mas pronounced yung delay with cvt pag e10 ang nakalagay.

    :-)

okay lang po ba to kahit moving yung vehicle although hindi nakatapak sa accelerator, i remember reading in the manual na dapat nakatapak sa brakes when shifting, so as a practice lagi lang ako na ka drive then tapak sa brake when shifting to ANY MODE.

also how do you use the shift lever? pwede ba basta i drag up and down while depressing brake or you have to pause at least a second from drive-pause-n-pause-r .... ??
