Ginawa ko kanina sa loob lang ng village, naka D, pag abante ng sasakyan mga nasa 30km/h, kinalabait ko yung paddle, nagpalit ng display from D to 3, so tirsera siya, tapos after mga 3 seconds, kinalabit ko yung paddle uli for 2 seconds(tinesting ko lang kumbaga), nagpalit yung display from 3 to D, so balik uli sa matic mode..wala namng jerk, or any change sa takbo, then i drove off na...di ko alam sa high speeds kung meron difference pero, tingin ko ok lang.

Tapak lng sa Brake when shifting out of PARK. Since dadaanan mo yun "REVERSE" papuntang NEUTRAL..kaya ganun ang turo sa iyo. Yaw mo naman may maatrasan di ba?

When you're in DRIVE or "D", just shift normally while pressing the accelerator.
You can control the downshift by releasing the accelerator "Downshift" then pressing it again. Try it. To "Upshift" just press the accelerator hard. Bad for ur Fuel consumption though. In "D" Max torque happens at 4k RPM so you'll see your Tach go to 4k RPM till your speed is about 120kph, then it increases with your speed till the final gear kicks in.

To release the potential "4k rpm and up to 6k rpm" Use manual mode...shift on the "almost" redline, kung gusto mo umabot dun. :D

salamat po, so far okay naman ako na naka 'D' lang, tinatamad na rin gamitin yung paddle shifters traffic din naman kasi, kung meron mang maluwag na daan less than 2 minutes lang mag slow down ka na because of intersection or jeep terminals. :-)

Hehe actually ako rin noon sabi ko sa sarili ko, ok to, matic na manual pa, sarap laruin, pero after awhile nakakatamad mag manual mode, knowing at the back of your mind pwede naman mag matic kaya tendency 99% of the time naka matic mode ako.

*gwapster- i know how you feel about that- even i am annoyed that my Space Wagon has no auto-up. Yes, all Lancer EX models (AFAIK) has no auto-up function and I don't know why. Interestingly, the Outlander has all 4 windows with auto-up and auto-down with anti-trap feature. i asked WHY from dealers Motorplaza and Diamond and MMPC but they havent given me a clear-cut answer until now...
sir ian, wala naman kaming directional headlights. hehe

i guess marketing strategy yan ng mitsu. They cannot make a perfect car, otherwise, isang kotse lang bibilin ng tao.

try nyo good year servitek. they don't remove the rubber from the rim anymore.

more protection din for your TPMS.

I dunno lang if may negative effect ito than conventional vulcanizing.

i'm not sure if mayroong anti-trap feature sa outie.

*ianmitsu... any official word on the lancer/outie recall from MMPC?

Tapos wala naman auto-leveling headlights ang Lancer, manual lang. Hehe.

But I think auto-up for driver window is such a basic function that it's inexplicable why they should intentionally omit it. And it wouldn't cost mitsu so much to add it, I assume.

Teka lang, 100% confirmed na ba... lahat ng naka-Lancer EX dito, wala sa inyong swerteng merong auto-up? hehehe

Don't know if this is useful. Lancer EX and Outlanders were recalled in China even before the US.

    http://www.chinacsr.com/en/2009/03/0...cars-in-china/

Mitsubishi has filed a report to the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China in which it says that it will recall 9,390 imported Outlander EX and Lancer EX cars for testing and maintenance.
The problematic cars include 9,108 2.4L imported Outlander EX produced between November 7, 2007, and December 5, 2008, and 282 imported Lancer EZ produced between October 3, 2008, and November 20, 2008.
It is understood that the brake vacuum servo of the cars could fail to function because of defects in an internal valve.

November 08 ko nakuha yung unit ko, kelan kaya na manufacture yun? I hope Mitsubishi Philippines addresses this issue promptly, ngayon lang sila bumabawi, wag naman nilang pabayaan yung momentum nila

Mukhang dumarami na mga lancer owners..Musta ang FC natin? Sakin after 3 mos, ang average ko sa city driving, from proj 6 to greenhills area, morning and afternoon rush hour ang byahe nasa 7-8km/l , minsan may tsamba na di gaano traffic but with the mandatory stoplights and menor menor naka 10.1 km/l..I think not bad for a 2 liter automatic car..

Di ko pa nasusubukan sa long driving na highway so cant share pa..

    Yeah dumarami na nga!

In 8 months with this car, my FC is mga 6 to 8 km/L in city/village driving with stoplights, traffic, and a lot of humps. Kaya mga 13 to 14 km/L in highway driving (without traffic).

Mixed FC ko (computed during full tank) hovers around an average of 9 km/L. Angat lang ng konti sa 1997 Honda Civic (1.5L engine) namin. Haha.

pinaka mababa na nakuha ko from batasan, commonwealth to espana.
on average day, nakaka 12-13km/L ako.

depends rin kasi sa route mo.

    by the way,
any of you interested in 08-09 lancer headers from speedlab? please check out RoadRace Motorsports and check out their headers there. Speedlab will make the exact same thing. so far we have only five people who are interested. we need to have ten people commit to this before speedlab can order the part.

item price plus shipping = 30K
    speedlab price = 14-15K

if you are interested pls pm me,
or look for sidney at speedlab.

    *edit*
btw, the FC i have is from 2008 lancer GT. batasan to welcome rotonda espana. lahat ng stoplight sa Qave, tinigilan ko hehe natiempuhan ang redlight.

    Guys,

Regarding shifting in sports mode via paddle shifter, check out 4-30 (Chapter 4, page 30) in your owner's manual. There is no need to release the accelerator (like you do in manual tranny) nor depressing the brakes to engage the manual shift mode... just flick the paddle shifter and that's it...

    Hope this helps...
