Companies spend on training. Imagine training a staff tapos aalis agad, di nila nasulit tapos maghahire na naman sila ng bagong iti-train. The more tenured a staff gets the more competent he becomes too. Pag newbie na naman aalalayan pa nila. Mas okay for them if an employee stays.

Other kids naman can afford to quit jobs and find better opportunities, gaining more experiences and developing competencies. In turn, making them more competitive. Not so privileged kids can't do that. Di nila afford mawalan ng trabaho so they stay.

I don't think PUP fresh grads have the top positions in mind naman, at least not all of them, and maybe not yet. Enough na sa kanila for now ma-employed soon so hindi na sila pabigat sa parents at makatulong na. While grads from the "better schools" are eyeing the top positions and investing to get there as early as now (because they have the education, the training and can afford to take risks). May advantage naman talaga sila.
