I tried the sport mode for a few seconds during our NLEX drive last Saturday. Oh yes, the roar! I noticed its roar is angrier than the Forester's... the RPM surged to 4,000!
The Mazda 3 really has the best sounding exhaust out of all the current generation of compact cars I've driven. 👍

Yep, the roar of the Mazda3 exhaust is quite distinctive. Even if the Mazda6 is faster, it is not as rowdy as the Mazda3.

Why limit yourself to 4k rpm and just a few seconds of Sport mode? Floor it and hit 6k rpm. I am always on Sport mode when I'm on the expressway. With the FXT, I'd even put into on Sport# on open stretches.

As long as no redline, you'll be fine during break-in period.

Maybe I don't have sports mode so I find the manual mode very challenging. Though I may still prefer manual over sports mode just for the powerband's sake.

I ignore the sport mode & enjoy the manual better, too sir. Old dogs & new tricks can't mix.[emoji16]
