I was on AT, then i pressed ryt paddle nothing happens, did it 3x and still nothing. Then pressed left paddle, and it added roar? How come?

Downshifting is used more often...for passing, climbing, engine braking. You upshift when you feel there is no more need to be on the lower gear you're on. On auto mode, you probably won't ever need to upshift 1st w/o downshifting.
Oh, step more on the gas pedal...there's a kickdown switch there, too....for the times you wanna pretend to drive angry.[emoji4]

Nope not my first car, i have a 06 m3 before but i never used mt ever.
When i pressed the + it seems that nothing is happening, then when - was pressed rpm went higher. I thought that when + is pressed it will be faster, while on - as u press it, it will get slower. Tama ba sir se?

I have also been wondering about the manumatic shifting... I assume the computer won't let you stall if on a higher gear and slowing down, so it will shift for you even if in manual mode? And will the indicator reflect the corrected gear when the car does this? We test drove an ecosport before and the gear indicator didn't seem to change, which would be confusing

(Just about to get my car hopefully by weekend. Been using manual for 10 years)

Manual mode lets you do everything. Paddle shifting on D gives you temporary manual chores til the M on gauge display disappears.[emoji4]

Sa Mz2 R ko, if I put the floorshifter in manumatic mode (+/- mode), the computer will wait for the driver to shift and yes it will stall if you do not pay attention. But if the floorshifter is in automode and I shift only using the paddles in the steering wheel, the computer will shift for me, if it receives no input for about half a minute.

However in my Kia Sorento, even in manumatic mode, the computer will upshift and/or downshift for me especially if it detects I am about to stall or over-revving.

Right is upshift, left is down. Baka nasa 6th/max gear ka na kaya wala effect yung upshifting.

Money has not changed hands yet, but it will be a white 1.5 HB. I’m just rushing the bank docs now and also finalizing the sale of my old 323. It was a long and stressful decision!

As for the topic, so you and Yatta are basically saying M mode is true manual that will let you rev till kingdom come and also will not save you from a stall if you didn’t know what you were doing? That would actually be the preferred behaviour, instead of the computer unpredictably jumping in.

And in D mode I can downshift anytime? Should be very useful for overtaking. Anyway I’ll find out for myself soon enough!

You got it right on the shifting options. A true stick+paddles w/o the 3rd pedal & electro-intervention...plus, freedom to override the extra driver inside your tranny on D are fun options.[emoji108]

That paddle with the minus sign at the left of the steering wheel is the root of all evil I can downshift while waiting for the opposite lane to clear so the revs are up waiting to go zoooooom. On the practical side you can hold the revs while going downhill so as not to overuse the brakes. Be careful though as even on D override mode it will let you ping off the rev limiter all day long. The 1.5 is a lot of fun even with its relatively low displacement and meh paper specs

Does installing the oe cruise control void warranty? Im planning on installing one and the hud aswell. Only plugnplay, worried sa might void my yojin

It shouldn't. I've had a plug-and-play rear camera installed the first month I got my 2014 3 and I didn't have any problems claiming suspension and engine part warranties.
