Looks like we share the same issue with the noise while turning left. In my case though, the noise is faint and only happens when turning left upward over ramp. The noise is somewhat similar to a ratchet wrench.
Clunking noise from the front area is becoming more obvious when driving through uneven/rough cement road. My M3 is just 2 years old with 20,000+ km.
The clunking noise is somewhat similar to 10yo Mazda3 that I used to drive. The stabilizer links at the front suspension were replaced after the noise got really bad but this was done at 100,000+ km.

There was a TSB years back on these:
A squeaking noise from the front shock absorber when turning the steering wheel at a vehicle standstill caused by stick-slip between the front strut bearing and the coil spring.
A popping noise from the front shock absorber when passing over speed bumps caused by the bump stopper contacting the strut bearing when the shock absorber is compressed.
Affected Vehicles: produced before Oct.29, 2015
Solution: Updated Bumpstops & Spring Protectors
• A creaking noise from the lower arm when driving over road bumps at 20-40 km/h caused by stick-slip of the front lower arm bushing. The noise occurs when the road surafce is wet or after a car washing, and becomes more noticeable as the speed bump gets higher.
Affected Vehicles: produced before Nov.16, 2015
Solution: Dry coat on lower arm bush
Ask your dealership to go over them.

Anytime, sir! Just check if it doesn't dry up top quickly. This shouldn't be something you need to frequently do. In the entire span of my 3's ownership, I've yet to lube the bushes.
To check lower control arm bush health, kick the tires front to back. If there's any budge, likely, new bushes needed.
