Yes I'm using ctek since Jan 2018. My charging routine was almost everyday but for the last 2 months it was done only on a weekend.

I would expect that somehow ctek is able to extend the EFB battery's lifespan. My weekly charging of an ordinary motolite battery for 4 other cars was able to extend the lifespan of the batteries (going more than 2 years up to 3 years).

I just checked the EFB battery condition, e.g. voltage (13+), pH level (still in green condition but a bit close to white condition). As far as the battery condition is concerned all is good. I started the engine, no istop and battery management malfunction. A few starts then the malfunction indicator lit up.

I'm going to charge the battery overnight and see if the battery management malfunction will show up again tomorrow morning.

I also bought the ctek ct5. I used the istop for a few weeks last year (around June or July) and after that I stopped using it.

That should fully charged already. Best to daily charge the battery as much as possible.

The average charging time for my M3 is 2.5 hours daily. Weekly charging time is longer, about 4 to 5 hours.

Update with my "battery management malfunction" error.

I left the battery charging overnight (at least 10 hours). I started the engine early this morning, no error so far. Drove for some minutes and stopped at a nearby gas station to refuel. Started the engine, no error so far. I'm now here at the casa, so far no error.

Can we replace the battery on our own without affecting warranty?
i had the error for 6 months now. so far, no issues except no i-stop. but i am starting to hear difficulty in starting the engine compared to normal instant start.[IMG][/IMG]

Unless you put in 1 that's below the recommended, you won't have to worry. Stick with the proper EFB or AGM (Q85 upwards).

In addition to sir travs recommendation, best to have your battery replaced at your convenient time. Much better than dealing with a dead battery while you're on the road.

Dealership. What's your fin's PN? I know Mazda uses at least 2 different antenna nut types. The stock from the M2 stick aerial won't fit the sharkfin, while that from the 1.5 BM does.

Nut from stock antenna of 1.5 BM doesn't fit the oem sharks fin. No available nut from dealership. No luck from hardware. Even in Banawe. Had to look in Amazon.
