This hobo method will keep the car's ecu powered, hence no risk of losing the istop configuration and infotainment system settings. Just be careful not to short circuit the battery connections (battery positive connection shouldn't touch the car's metal body, negative terminal).

A safer approach is to use a portable battery jump starter that comes with a powerbank. As long as there's power supply to the car's battery connection while removing the battery, those ecu settings will remain intact.

How to jumpstart a dead batt w/o using cables....

Among these 3 batteries. Can you rank it base on usage and reliability? I am prolly due for batt replacement and wanted to get a stock of this.

Optima & Delkor are from Johnson Controls. YellowTop is AGM, higher than EFBs, Delkor/Panasonic/Yuasa.

    Optima YellowTop pros:
    Deep-cycle and cranking power
    Up to 3X longer life
    15 times more vibration-resistant
    Virtually spillproof
    Mountable in virtually any position
    Maintenance-free
    Faster recharging
    Optimal starting power
    300+ discharge/recharge cycles

Yuasa EFB offered by MazdaPh should be Nippon made, iirc. Delkor EFB is Johnson Controls Korea. Panasonic EFB(black) here is Thai. Panasonic Blue from Japan is pricier than the black Thai. These EFBs are equally good. Just check the respective prices & warranties.....And, do yourself & your chosen batt a favor....grab a CTEK CT5 Start/Stop.[emoji4]

    Try this again...
    1) Car off w/o pressing brake, press start button once
    2) Press and hold start button and trip meter(without starting the car) for several seconds, an orange triangle will start flashing, when triangle stops flashing let go.

If that casa cant fix your problem. Escate with mazda ph. They should find you a better person to deal with.

Resetting can be done if there are no issues. If it's on permanently, the engine is seeing some real problem...

Wrench is an oil change, tire rotation/pressure check interval reminder icon one can activate (in either distance or duration) or deactivate. A BCM function that's integral w/ the MzdConnect infotainment system, not w/ the ECU & isn't the Engine Malfunction Light.
    Turned mine off since day1.

Likely a BCM hiccup. They have to do more than just scan. Ask them for a MazdaConnect software update....or BCM reprogram if the lit icon really bothers you.
Your engine vibration is separate & more an Air/Fuel electro-mechanical issue some cleaning should cure. To rule engine mounts out, have them peeked at, too.

    Hi! Good day!

Anyone here experienced the DSC Malfunction light on on their M3 BN/BM? Mine is a 2017 1.5.

Was driving in EDSA when the DSC Malfunction light turned on. Parked in Megamall for 3 to 4hrs and then the DSC Malfunction light was no longer there.

Pero kinabukasan, naka on na naman. Pero napansin ko medyo under inflate yung isang tire ko then have it inflate to normal tire pressure. Then nawala. Pero after how many hours, bumalik ulit yung DSC Malfunction light together with the Check Engine light. Tire pressure was okay that time.

Any inputs on this one? Thanks!

When you inflated your tire, did you hold press the TPMS button?

DSC light can be caused by a faulty wheel speed sensor. Sure way to find out is have it scanned.

Sadly 1.5 model dont have TPMS button sir.

I suspect the speed sensors too sir, read some post in fb that faulty speed sensors were the caused of the error.

I'm also doubting that Mazda will not honor my warranty since I've installed lowering springs already. They might pinpoint that the cause of the faulty speed sensor would be my lowering springs.

Weather most probably. I also experience static in the canyons of Makati. The sedan's antenna is integrated in the back glass. The hatch's is either a whip or a sharkfin.

Station dependent, too. That popular 101.1 you listen to constantly has weak transmission, techd sir. Switch to AM.[emoji4]
