I put around 4.5L of oil.. drained this over night.. after pouring 4L of oil, dipstick level is already between the 2 marks..

Around 4.2L capacity for the SkyG 1.5 & 2.0. Minimum specs SkyG 5w-30 ACEA A5/B5<X9 ACEA C3(min for Sky D).

Question mga sirvyung 4.2L capacity na nakalagay sa manual pag saktong 4.2L nilagay will it fall around the middle of min/max sa dipstick? Or that will read around sa full mark na sa dipstick? Just curious to prevent overfill na din hehehe.

For the oil specs sa manual for Europe ACEA A3/A5 nakalagay na recommended then for other regions as long as API SM/SN etc.Though I know Mazda Ph is using Shell ultra professional ACEA A5/B5. Just curious if someone will use Shell Helix Ultra ACEA A3/B4 for skyactiv instead of using Shell Helix Ultra ACEA A5/B5 oil ang tradeoff lang ba nun not so good fuel economy but maybe better engine protection for A3?

4.2 liters is the volume when the engine is "dry", i.e. yung unang lagay ng langis. During a PMS di naman nauubos talaga lahat ng langis sa loob ng engine. There will always be some left over oil inside.

Asked around yesterday.. Golden Isuzu offers motorcraft oil 5w-30 at 650 per liter.. they even have a display of a fake motorcraft at 400 per liter.

4.2L could give you a tad above full. As sir Yatta said...dry capacity.
I'd go ACEA C3, A5/B5 over A3.

You have to consider also the oil volume on the filter which is around a quarter of a liter. So if the engine requires 4.2L plus the oil filter, that would be around 4.5L.

Wasn't able to take a picture.. to an untrained eye.. they look the same.. one thing i noticed is the "fake" motorcraft oil container is taller by around 5mm compared to the original..

Golden isuzu has them on display because many customers are asking why in other shops motorcraft is cheaper...

When I did my first oil change after Yojin I went to Shell. I bought a gallon and an extra liter of oil. The oil change guy didn't even open the liter bottle. He showed me the dipstick and it was already close to full so no need for a topup.

2 oil changes later and that liter bottle is still unopened.

4.2 is w/ the very small filter, bai.

spark plug or oil ang hirap ata madetermine basta basta yun fake ngayon. kailangan you have to have them side by side and even then you have to know what to watch out for. haaayss

Thanks sir. Based sa graph A5 is superior sa A3. Same protection plus better fuel economy. I will choose A5 over A3 as well for my skyactiv.

This one's not a manual tensioner, doc. It's self-tensioning & has a hydraulic damper that can leak over time & abuse. Once it loses the ability to hold the proper tension, the belt can make odd noises under load.
Mazda should've designed for both serpentine belts to be StretchFit instead of just the AC. They require no tensioner. 1 less part to look out for.

if i find my audio weak, i'd turn it up more.

what were your settings before, and what are they now?
baka napalitan lang?

is it possible, that it was your hearing that changed, and not the car?

i once had that issue.
upon investigation, i found out that my tone and balance settings had changed.

I think mazda should redesign the tensioner to spring type..
